i love your makeup line ! however i find when applying the salmon concealer the way you do by first placing it with the brush and then blending it out with a sponge.. it really thins out the product and i have really bad dark circles and also when i apply powder to set it .. it almost gives a gray appearance... please help !
@agurllikeyou Hi, thank you for trying out my products. you have to find a balance on how much to apply and how much to blend. You may be using too much powder, or also use a powder that matches your skin.
@Manekinekkko sorry for the late reply, but starting with the eye makeup first will save you time. The mess and loose eyeshadow powders that falls on the face can be cleaned up quickly without ruining the foundation because the foundation hasn't been applied yet.
Her natural eyebrows ARE an ashy brown, but her hair is died.
If you look her hair has a really warm undertone, I think the eyebrows match perfectly with her hair. They aren't supposed to be the color of her natural brows, they are supposed to be the color of her hair.
Thak you for replying.. But this is not the only episode she does that and some other women with natural dark hair and brows get the red effect from that reddish brown.
I would have used an ashy dark blonde color for her eyebrows :)
when you start out using ashy brown/grey/black colors they actually turn and look very harsh on the skin. when you start out with the warm tones, they will natually adjust and blend in with the already ashy brown colors there...like the way those highlights blend in with your hair. give it a try. I dont ever use harsh dark/ashy colors...they end up looking greenish on light skin, look grey, black and wrong on most skin tones. and at times those dark colors look like a Sharpie marker on brows.
Thank you so much for replying. I didn't write my other comment right, or, actually, i didn't write it completely. I never said that using ashy grey or even black looks better. I was saying COLOR but with less saturation.
I have natural brown hair with red highlighs and natural BLACK brows. I tried reddish brown, i tried like.. EVERYTHING and i stopped at less saturated and a bit darker brown.
Thank you for being such a good teacher and explaining to me :)

i am an Asian.. and i think she looks so much older after the make up. And, she looks like an American, but not a Korean....She lost the beauty as a Korean.
I love hearing everone's point of view. I'd like to ask you, do you believe that I look like an American? How would you know if I was an American or a Russian or a Georgian or a Greek or an Italian?? would you be labeling me now? Why do some people see things as getting lost instead of finding a new way of doing things, while still appreciating the traditional ways as well. I'm trying to give people ONE simple method, to start out with, The EVE PEARL Method of makeup application. And then more.
You are right. you are giving people a simple method to start. As an American, it is very considerate that you try to do make up for Asians according to Asians' particular type of face.
I am not labeling anyone. But, you really can distinguish different types of Asian girls and the value of beautiful through the style of make ups. I am not saying it is bad to be innovative, but you can be creative basing on the habit of how Korean girls make up.
Try to amend that basing on that. I think that will become regionalistic make up out of the globalized trend That is the ideal in my head It is like Mcdonald is a world-wide fast food chain But, they serve Taro Pie in Asian countries, red bean sundae and teriyaki burger there. In that way, there are regional differences but we still enjoy the fries and burgers which are sold everywhere in the chain
Make-up is a very personal thing. But, if you observe more there are differences between countries
It is like you can tell the designing trends between Asian, European and American architects (if they want to distinguish regional different themselves) Even if they are all doing modern style work. I guess you travel a lot. I think you can buy make up books from different countries whenever you travel, or using U-tube to see videos in different places about make up.
the girl she put makeup on loved it. and the whole point of Eve's method is to simplify and make it easy for everyone to apply it no matter where they originate from. the two tone foundation is just an amazing idea. its usually so hard to get the right tone for many different ethnic girls. theres many different methods of putting on makeup and if people dont like this method they dont have to use it but personally and i think many people think this, i think its genious. Thank you Eve
It looks great, I mean aren't asians always trying to look white anyway? With the eye lid tape/glue and blonde hair or dyed hair and eye lashes. I think this a great look, its subtle and natural and it makes her eyes look bigger which is what asians always want anyway right? But I know what you mean I wish asians would just be happy with their asian features and enhance them rather then try and change them, because they have a beautiful unique look. The Only thing Eve did was add falsies.
thanks for your reply. This is exactly what i want to say, especially your last sentence. That is why you can tell if the make up is put by western people or an Asian make-up artist. ... it is just different, and i am sorry i cannot agree with that.
oh psh whatever. ARENT WHITES ALWAYS TRYING TO LOOK DARK ANYWAY??? sure a lot of asians want to have lighter skin tone but white people go tanning like crazy cuz they want darker skin tone. same thing. everybody wants different things. dont differentiate asians from others. plus, a lot of asians who dont have crease like me are proud to have more unique eyes than everyone else.
I'm Spanish I live in Canada, theres not much hot sun around here. I get very light just like most white people. When I travel to warm places I get very Tanned. Tanning is a natural thing. If your limited to hot sun you can get tanned other ways. Its very natural, now tell me whats natural about glue and tape on the eye? It's not is it? Comparing tanning to eyelids is a poor choice of argument. But I'm glad your proud of your asian features. Asians look more attractive when they look 'asian'.
what is more asian in your definition? Small eyes? Asia is a big place, hell china is a big place, there's alotta diversity. Sure some have more stereotypical features, but heaps of them have diff features, just like how euros have brown, red and blond hair =="
Only koreans have most of their population with single lids
lots of other asians have double lids naturally, so whatever.
I'm guessing features are exclusive to one race now? How ignorant.
Hey, you just talk what you think. You no need to speak for Korean. I saw many of korean girls with clear double Lids. Besides, what's the point of having a double or single lids. Who said that what is better than the other ?
sm8257, also you people don't have a tendency to wrinkled eyelids like some caucasians do;(
Even though I don't have wrinkles, I sometimes envy asian eyelids as they are so smooth and the metallic eyeshadow looks particularly good on asian eyes!
1st off you shouldn't be making generalizations like that..you make it seem likes it true for the majority of Asian women. I dont think there's anything wrong with enhancing the features we already have by using make up, but I do agree that blond hair and excessive makeup by SOME is too much..
I apologize for not saying 'some asian'. I didn't mean 'all asians' But I did say "I wish asians would just be happy with their asian features and enhance them rather then try and change them" (1st comment)
mankeisham, Pursebuzz is partly French (I think) so she is not 100% Asian. Also, Americans can be from everywhere. The US is a melting pot of all the nations in the world.
Asians don't have features as strong as western people, and the amount of makeup they could take is a lot less because it would look WAY too prominent, which is exactly what Eve did. She piled way too much makeup onto Elessa's face, while all she needed was just some concealing and brightening of the eye area. I think Eve should have varied her makeup application especially for Elessa instead of just putting EVERYTHING on her
