We The Arab peopel were subjects of the Ottman Caliphs, we were loyal to the Ottman caliphs, not to the turkish people or turkey, but to the caliphs only. Turkish people are our brothers and turkey is a great nation we are proud of, but you are not better than us, we are all equal, and don't forget brother that the prophet is an arab, the companions are arabs, and the leaders and mujahidin that showed the light of islam to the world were arab.

It might be complicated, but we can understand it, The position of caliph was in the hands of the arab for more than 800 years, but at one point the arab could not serve the position more; so came the ottman family, and won the right to be caliphs, by protecting islam and practicing Jihad. and they led the world, and the muslim Ummah, we arabs were proud to be under the Ottman rule because they served Islam, and we consider them the leaders of the Ummah, not the turkish nation.

third, before the WW I, the ottman empire stopped being a Caliph, it was a turkish state, so the arab did not feel united with turks, but ocupied by them, and the turkish goverment started to force the turkish language and the turkish identity on the arabs...
we aree ready to be united with the turks, but not to be ocupied.

In the Kuran Allahs speaks of other people who will defend Islam better than arabs did and this is undoubtly Turks who did it for 1200 years although they had no Turk as a prophet but the greatest islamic sufi schoolars who enlighted the world.
