@TheK2Climber so you say it was a lazy salsa it was this or either a different partner or no dance at all because his partner had a neck injury that could have been paralyzing she probably shouldn't have even removed her neck brace or been dancing so they deserve props for persevering even with a severe injury
cuppie27, I think Hine's contract has him with the team through 2013. He said he'll stay until Coach tells him his services are no longer needed. He's still effective and he is a great teacher and mentor to our young wides. Plus, he loves playing. I'm with you though. I'll miss him tremendously when he does call it quits. He's always been one of my favorite Steelers. He's a really unique player.
Hes a great performer, but this was the most least good and most uneventful salsa of the season. He didnt do anything except point his hands , spin kym, and smile. Great performance but uneventful and bad technique

Hines is doing great for a "non-dancer" as he puts it. Plus he's one of the rough ones in football at that. Chelsea has had virtually no upper body movement except for her arms, which Carrie Ann pointed out. Again she's not a dancer either. None of these people are pro dancers. Give them all a break. Hines might not Salsa like a guy who does it all the time esp Latinos, but within the context of this show Hines and the others are doing great.
The Argentine Tango and this Salsa, I keep clicking on and on for the nth time now. I just can't get enough of these videos. Thank you so much, codebear4 for making it possible to watch these dances in their complete copy.
Hines has deserved all the scores and all the kudos that he's gotten this season. From week one, he has improved, probably more than any of the other dancers and he's given 100% of himself to learning everything he needed to.
Chelsea and Mark have resorted to costumes and props to get through this competition, and Hines hasn't. Looking forward to the finals, and with luck, Hines and Kym will walk away with the mirrorball trophy!

@Dimibeei12 Technically Chelsea was the best dancer, emotionally she was 3rd. She is a sweet young girl but she doesn't have the life experience to project the emotion needed in these ballroom dances. A couple more years of life and she might have won, but with the combination needed of skill and emotion, she didn't have the emotion. Also, Chelsea had class. Too bad most of her fans are displaying a total lack of class. If you like Chelsea you should act with as much class she she showed.

Ok....I am a huge Steeler and fan and of course, partial to Hines. Honestly, though, he has consistently improved each week. I watched the first week video, and then this one. No doubt he has gotten better and better. Let it be known that he has never embarrased the Steeler organization --- had made media-free visits to Pittsburgh Children's Hospital and has helped families that could not afford their child's surgery otherwise -- all of this without fanfare.
Just give him the trophy, the judges want to. Let's just end it because I am tired of seeing him stand there and Kym just twirl around him. Let the Hine's lovers start ripping me apart. :) remember this is my opinion.

Just found out Ralph Macchio got kicked off. Sorry to see Ralph go. The judges seemed out to get him so I'm not surprised. but after watching all four couples dance it was obvious to me that Kirstie Alley was not better than the others so I thought it might be her. i wonder if the judges comments had anything to do with the nude pics Karina took. Haven't heard anything about them and I haven't seen them. So, the finals are next. yeah!!!!!!
Some people don't think his dancing is that great, but personally I think those people fail to realize that this is a football player in his 30s ok, he's not going to dance the same way as a 20 yr old female. I think that he and Kym take what he's got and works with it and that's why he deserves to win. He's the only one who I can't help but smile after watching him dance. Romeo too even tho he was a little stiff.
I am apart of Steeler Nation and love Hines, but even if I wasn't I would still vote for him to continue because of the skill and emotion that he brings to the dance floor. GO TEAM HINES AND KYM!!!!!!!!!!!
look I Love salsa, and believe me I know how to salsa, and even tho Hines danced it well it wasn't great, he didn't do as many salsa moves as Ralph, and I like Hines don't get me wrong I want him to go to the finals, but this salsa wasn't that good, if you look salsa male dancers, club ones or professional ones they have like something else, we call it "sabor" and even if they're not going to get it that fast, you have to fake it and Ralph faked it better...

With all due respect to the viewers who aren't "wowed" by Hines' moves...in ballroom dance, the man is supposed to be the FRAME to showcase the woman as THE PICTURE! That's why the women celebrities seem to "dance" better - because their Pro Partners are doing their job and, frankly, all the work! As a former competitive ballroom dancer, imo, the woman is only as good as her partner! So, when Kym looks so Stunning...guess why? And, he's just a football player for heaven's sake!!!!!!!!!

Hines and Kym are a Gourmet Meal as opposed to Chelsea and Mark who are fast food. Terms applied by coaches, analysts, writers, etc. is "MOST VALUABLE PLAYER". An award he has won several times.
