  • What are the reasons for getting Mac over PC? Anyone, please tell. I can't really find put any powerful reason for getting a Mac over PC. If the reason is apps, then what are the applications that a Mac has and a PC doesn't???

  • @TheSmartPresenter004 Mac is less buggy, stable & consistent OS, virtually no virus, quality hardware, nicer design.

Price-wise, Apple products is getting more and more affordable over the years. Although, it's still a bit pricier than PC. However, iMac and Macbook Air is among the cheapest in 'all-in-one' and 'ultrabook' class.

Keep in mind that 3rd party apps/games for Mac is lesser in number compared to Windows. Still, you can install Windows on Mac should you desire gaming.

  • @kerayzey Windows has more apps than a Mac OS X??? Really? If Windows has more apps, then which has better apps (not considering boot camp)?

  • @TheSmartPresenter004

I think you're confused with iOS and Mac OSX. iOS is the mobile OS, that's the one that have the most mobile apps in the world.

Windows still hold 80-90% computer market share worldwide, so it's no surprise that it has more apps. More 3rd party support. Ever heard people say, 'Mac is not for gaming'? That's why.

What do you mean better apps? There's a huge range of apps. There's no one single answer. Can't really answer that. Depends on your need.

  • I watched several videos comparing these software suites. I just bought a Mac and I have both iWork and office. Most of the videos were pretty lame and not very helpful to me. Your video was very professional and you made some very good observations. Great job! By the way, what program were you using to get the picture in a picture, with your desktop video and keeping a camera on you at the same time?

  • is she druged?

  • why the fuck i watched this crap?

  • So... Office or iWork?

  • @enycute Judging by her comparisons, I would guess she prefers iWork...

  • What screen capture program are you using? Thank you for the great information comparing the two.

  • ain't she cute with her little princess pink bed :-)

  • What's your handicap, are you a single digit player? lol I love golf

  • @vitaraq44 Jealousy is for those who lack self confidence or people who comment stupid Shit like "Jealous are we?" :] Have a nice day.

  • office para windows es el mejor

  • My Toshiba crashes when I open up Internet Explorer. I want a MacBook Pro! The problem is convincing my dad to let me buy one... :(

  • For a cute girl who loves COMPUTERs =P

  • how do you record you and your screen at the same time?!

  • Hi, is an iWork '09 document campatible with lets say, my schools computer that has microsoft office 2007

  • Does iwork have spell check?

  • @MIRBUNNY Yes I work does have spell check

  • Just the review I was looking for! Perfect, thanks!

  • Sexy a pretty girl who is interested in macs

  • @KleinmeisterPang haven't you seen iJustine yet ??

  • You make very good informative videos. I se a future career at Apple. (if ur not already there) :)

  • HI I JUST GOT A MAC BOOK PRO AND UR VIDEOS R VERY VERY VERY COOL THANKS I JUST DO WHAT U SAY AND WA LAA GOT IT THANK U SO MUCH MY NAME IS RIPLEY THANKS AGAIN BYE....

  • Is it possible to make a presentation on iWork, email it to yourself and then present it on a windows computer at school?

  • @LovelyLady1090 ye i am wondering the same thing?

  • @mattjeffreys101 I actually tried it this past Friday at school, and it didn't work. I couldn't even see one thing of my work on the Windows computer. But I also didn't try sending it via mail with the PowerPoint option, I sent it with the KeyNote option. So that might have worked if I did that.

  • This is a bad video. Because OpenOffice much better than iwork and MS Office!

And Linux better than Windows and MacOSX!

  • @opensourcerus open office would be better if it had a grammar check and linux would be better if it had games.

  • Comment removed

  • Nice comparison. I'd love to see a comparison of Office 2011 and iWorks 11 (when it's out)

I think "MS Office > iWorks" in general, but the lower price of iWorks makes them equal.

  • I wish all Mac Geeks were as pretty as you!

  • golf? lol

  • Thanks you for the comparing the two

  • Thank you for your video, love your style, you really defeat most pro's.

    Good Job...

  • how do you set up MLA format on iwork 09??

  • I have experienced everything you are saying. How about Open Office?

If It weren't for school, I would find Word to be useless. You can track changes in word for editing in a group environment, but working with others is also annoying but just something you have to do at school and work. Also, word autosave nearly got me failed out of college. It develops bad habits and I can't tell you how many times I was used to having autosave and lost something that my life depended on.

  • Mac = Lots Of Money

  • What screen capture software do you use? Great comparison!

  • Thanks for the video. All I needed to know was there. Downloading Iworks as I type.

  • This is a great video! Very in-depth and professional...Five stars lol or a like ;)

  • wtf are you talking about? powerpoint is just as good as keynote and is far more customizable and compatible ( like with sound files picture files and videos...). Keynote just has better templates (like the rest of iWork) I can sum up not just office and iwork but windows and osx aswell in a very simple way: windows= compatible with basically anything out there and far, far more customizable. osx= far nicer graphical user interface (gui), simpler, better organization

  • I want to create an blog page, is it possible to use Iworks to create an blog?

  • @WORKOUT66 You really wouldn't want to use a word processor for web development, you would be better off with something like Wordpress (which is free).

  • Can you just do a PAGES tutorial?

    Thank you,

  • iWork is so complicated. I still can't figure out how to set up a page on mla format. Can you do a video showing how???

  • which one do u prefer? iwork or office?

  • What does Pages use for an equivlent to Word art

  • I'm going to explode. I am getting a mac in 10 days..

  • how do you save iwork documents to be able to open on word on a pc?

  • wow r u a fkn idiot..this is biased to the core lol

  • Comment removed

  • @FrankyVInternational

You actually penned this in open public to your name? How desperate you sound...I will pray for you.

    In the meantime, great review.

  • @16blank45 piss off wanker

  • @16blank45 bitch ass skank pray for skank ass to shut the fuck up

  • pages just long you have to spend hours working out where everything is even something simple like highlight text on mac is hard to find Microsoft is much easier micro office 2011 kills iwork dead

  • heyy i have a question

i want to move from pc to mac

what should i get macbook aluminum or macbook pro 13"?

  • This is what all previews should Look like!! 5 stars from me :)

  • So I'm planning on getting a macbook pro soon. Should I be getting iWork or Office 08'.

    Thanks

  • *VERY* good video!!!!!!! Thanks! =D

  • thank you for comparing.

im getting a mac soon :)

  • damn, youre mad cute ! ;)

  • **If you have an alias that starts with "i"...you might be an iSheep.**

It's good that you created an unbiased review about these two products. "o0o iWork has this and that and it's amazing..oh and Office has it too but, it's just not as good."

Judging by how you rate the programs.."iWork looks so pretty..." and by your room/appearance, you without a single doubt look for the functionality in everything instead of what is aesthetically pleasing.....

  • your videos are the best. keep posting!

  • your videos are the best. YOUR AN APPLE EXPERT!

  • you think i shuld get iwork 09 when i already have office 08

  • wow, im impressed by you! :) very helpfull too!

  • you look so nice in this vid

  • Thanks for taking the time to do this review. Today, I bought Iworks and kissed MS office goodbye.

  • can we use iwork for windows, i really covet to use it. Mac rules but we all stick to windows, the bugs home.

  • @kaleem091983

There is no iWork for Windows. I encourage you to buy a Mac. You don't have to spend too much money either. Buy a Mac Mini, maybe a used one, to cut down costs, and then use your old mouse, keyboard and monitor. I speak from personal experience, it is something that you will not regret. You don't have to buy the latest and the greatest to get done what you need. Get an Intel Mac & you're good. Check Craigslist, you always find good stuff on the cheap. I know of what I speak.

  • very good video. and very helpful. THANKS!

  • $150? Wow, I'm glad my university gives everyone a copy of Office (Mac or PC) for free.

  • it took a while, but i finally got off. it was hard to focus on your eyes when you kept reading o_O BUT i just grabbed some lotion!

  • i work is better, i find it more creative, and i have used Microsoft office all my life :P

  • oh yeah, you are the one who is obsessed with those apple bags

  • How old are u???? look very young

  • You are mad hot.

  • @ChrisAndAvaMcCready

  • @ChrisAndAvaMcCready Pedo. You're 37 years old.

  • @ChrisAndAvaMcCready haha, then you have a really bad taste in girls

  • @ChrisAndAvaMcCready have you seen ijustine?

  • @Flobbies iJustine is kinda pretty but so fucking stupid!

  • so if you make a keynote presentation with a bunch of effects and a theme and stuff chances are that it won't work when trying to save as a .pptx? i am trying to decide which productivity suite to buy. i am in college btw just so you know lol

  • iwork doesnt compare

  • By the the way, you could have lots of tables in exel, you just have to hightlight the table and click the chart you want

  • What do you use to make the video?

  • u did not say that the keynote can be used with imovie if u make a animation and then export put in to imovie and then the animation will play i tried this with powerpoint and it did not work so ....... a great way to make the text in imovie better then just the pre sets on imovie not saying that it it worth the money but i find that iwork dose work better with the mac platform ( i should not say works better it is more compatible so ya ) another thing is that the iwork is a easer to use

  • i have the office 08 and it crashes soo much i have many problems and i still have them

  • Thanks! I have both and I was wondering which one I should use....I chose iWork 09. =)

  • ur microsoft warrior.

  • If i were to use the iWork, like... the powerpoint version. can i still save it as a ppt. file and use it on my pc???? :) thanks greaatt vid!!!!

  • @saphira512

Yes you can. You can Save As, then ensure the Powerpoint format is selected, or you can Export the entire presentation. It will save it as a Powerpoint presentation, and is about 98% preserved.

  • so you can open iwork documents on a windows vista whit word??

    that would be awsome

  • Awesome!! =)

  • Sooo.... Wouldn't it have just been easier to post the page you read that off of instead out reading aloud? its like story time on Youtube. anyways thanks i suppose.

  • @RyanDSM94 those are my notes. would you rather hear me um and ahh the whole time? didn't think so :P

i wanted this video to sound organized and scripted. so there.

  • @iTalkApple "Um" and "Ahh" Adds Flavor

  • @RyanDSM94 you're an ass

  • @crazyjorge21111 I truly am

  • what are you using? imac, macbook ?

  • Your video presentations are elegant, really informative very felicitous and... filicitate! :-p My felicitations! :-p

  • I am about to get a Mac for my room and I am a student. We have a Mac already in our study and whenever I needed to print something that is on my laptop I would put it on a USB and take it to the Mac in the study which runs Office. If I get iWork on my new Mac will I be able to copy the iWork documents onto my USB and still open them on the other Mac with the Office programs and still print them?

  • @lberr2 as long as you save your iwork document in the office format (for word documents .docx or .doc) then you won't have a problem. just go to file > export and choose the format

  • @lberr2 You can export as PDF as well. That's what I prefer.

  • @lberr2 yes just click save and then click the small down arrow then you will be able to save it in multiple formats like office iwork open office and more

  • Office on macs is nothing compared to office on windows. If you have a mac get iWork!

  • summarizing you don't like anything that has to do microsoft

  • omg i already love you:)

  • i have a question... if i saved a document in Microsoft office, can i open it with iWork???

  • @sgtshendou it wil automatically open it, it will transfer the format automatically so ur set to open up Microsoft things

  • @homeboylx i have aslo a question whats better for school works.... iwork or Microsoft office????ASAP

  • @sgtshendou yes

  • This a very good video it helps a lot thank you very much.

  • check my videos, i have a tutorial for a free copy of iWork '09

  • this video was ridiculously helpful! =) thank you so much for taking time to make things like this its much appreciated. im getting a macbook for the first time and alot of your videos were extremely helpful in the purchases i made. thanks again =D

  • she is smarter than me but that isnt saying much :)

  • @Dallasarcher

No need to publicise your low self esteem.

  • Excellent comparison. This video strongly influenced my opinion on what software to buy. Please check out my channel by clicking on my name. Let me know what i should change in my channel. Thank-You.

  • how cute

  • thank you! this was very helpful! im getting iwork!

  • Office Excel is much easier in Windows.

  • Biased review.

  • @SilvaliorFox

    how so???

  • @shultzzack She really leaves out a lot of key features on MSOffice... iWork '09 is good in some degrees for simple things but Office is way better for advanced things... it really depends on the user actually.

  • @SilvaliorFox

well she never said that there was an official winner for them all

u might be referring to what she said about keynotes and powerpoint.

but I agree with you iWork is better with looks

Office is better with the needs

although at some point i would own both

    just in case

  • @shultzzack I like both programs, both are useful in their own way

  • lady you emeek's sister?

  • ... damn, i feel like im looking on to a girl version of applesoldier...

  • Thanks for the video, it really helped me to have better understanding, I have just ordered my new mac and I was thinking on what to use on the MAC.

  • I just got my first macbook pro today and I'm wrintting from my old dell notebook I have a split opinion of which one it's better maybe we'll never know but I'll give a Macbook Pro a very expensive shot.

  • I'm a Microsoft Windows User Since ever Cause years ago there were nothing to compare it with, today it's a different history whether you are a Microsoft Windows Operating System User or Apple Mac Operating System User you have options what I really appreciate from Mac OS is that they show me as a Windows User and Microsoft as a company that the products they are offering and I've been using it could be better.

  • Gosh, not that i dont like Microsoft, but rly, Office is confusing

  • THANK YOU

  • what is movie maker on mac

  • @fardoche1991 apple iMovie

  • @PascalProductions yeah! and i movie is waaaayyy better than the crappy old windows movie maker!

  • @LifeSgreeaat yup ... movie maker sucks

  • Which screen recording program are you using?

  • @iTek42 I think thats Screenflow... everyone that makes Apple videos use it :)

  • Comment removed

  • @MrJufrow Office 2010 is only for Windows®, but Microsoft™ has said, they will make one for mac, which will be called Office 2011.

  • nerd\

  • I personally hate Office (and office), and this review doesn't seem to be neutral, but I completely agree with it!

By the way, I'm kind of in love with this girl.

  • @mizonator20

    Gross.

But thank you. You made my day too.

  • sounds a little too scripted

  • hmm i'm kinda split on this issue because Pages can be annoying when it comes to typing essays and sending it to a Windows user. Pages in my opinion should always save as documents instead saving as .pages. that of course is were Word shines for basic use like what she. Keynote however is better than powerpoint because the templates in keynote are far better looking and little easier to use. no idea about excel and numbers though since i don't use them.

  • Yes Mac

  • This vid seems a little too biased. It's pretty obvious the girl knows way more about iWork than she does about Office.

I've worked with microsoft office my whole life and to me all those problems seem like nothing.

However, if you have a mac I would stick with iWork. Office on the mac seems really akward compared to office on the pc. It's like putting tiger fur on a bear.

  • @MrJufrow actually i know more about office. in fact, i use microsoft office for ALL of my schoolwork because i'm used to it.

  • @iTalkApple Then why say office is complicated and intimidating? When I said the word biased, what I was trying to emphasize was the fact that you were giving your viewers the idea that office is too difficult. Yet you and I both know that when you get used to it, it's like second nature.

PS- I hope I haven't offended you. Cheers.

  • <333333333333333

  • i Love YOU

  • I love You

  • Can I open an Excel Doc in iWork>?

  • yes

  • i Love you

  • i Love you!

  • iwork '09 should be compared to office 2007... office 2008 is a piece of crap... better run office 2007 using parallels or something. Excel 2007 is awesome. Numbers 09 is awesome. They are just used for different things. Excel 2008 has a confusing interface and is lacking basic Excel features like VBA

  • I really need to ask you an important question for me as I am thinking of getting MacBook Pro. What are the specs for the one you were using for the review and was it recorded or were you doing it while making the review as it was so fast.

    Thanks a lot.

  • who care abt which sucks i have Ms O 2007 enterprise on PC and it can kick any macs ballz.

  • Thank you. In my opinion ( MY OPINION) iLife is the best application for visually presenting things for others while still maintaining a business-like format. Microsoft Office is better for personal management and keeping track of things that don't have to be all glamorous.

  • stop reading yor speech!!!!! it makes me crazy when you move your eyes to read !!! BTW your good

  • you are good

  • how do i activate the trial version of iwork that comes with my macbook's OS (leopard)?

  • I used to like and use Microsoft Office, but after watching this video, I'm most likely gonna change gears as soon as I've fired up my Mac tomorrow. :)

  • i love girls that know what lag means!

  • from experience iworks is better and way less expensive

  • @aaronraglin605

You can see my mom if you want to.

  • i like your videos and everything, but your excuse is ALWAYS "busy with school"

  • Great video! :)

  • I love iWork but office is the standard. Just like how Apple has brand loyalty with it's iPhone and iPod Touch; Microsoft has brand loyalty with Office. Just about every business uses Office. I'm a college student and all of my professors require Office.

  • By the way, nice hair your very pretty :-)
