It's hard for Americans to grasp the nature of the wars being fought in their name when they are kept in a state of striking isolation from their horrors. Regular export of large-scale violence is not something the American media have cared to scrutinize. Isolation from war's savagery and sacrifices comforts some and allows others free rein, but it's a false comfort.
The parents of the war supporters are getting an education from their kids that come back from war. If that's not good enough, maybe the US needs to have a few cities level before the populous grimaces at war. Today, most think it's glorious like a move. Sad.
Why American like war? It's because their economy is based on weapons production, if there is no war, then they can't sell their weapons, they don't make money. That's why 75% of their industry is military based. they invade Vietnam, Iraq, Korea, Afghanistan next one maybe Iran! wa! what a great nation, like to invade another country, shame!
Support RON PAUL in every way you can America! I don't personally agree with him on every issue ... but this man knows, as Mr. Eugene does, what is behind what will eventually lead to our downfall as a nation and a people.
war culture isn't the real problem, but rather the wrong type of war culture was the problem. if americans pursuits were more subtle and had a more moral basis to it, it would have pushed the american empire forward.
but rather invasion 4 benifit and defense became it's core reason.
american had a window of opportunity, which has long since gone.
now america has to look at itself and realize that they are now a nation amongst nations.
Actually, as I recall Germans supported the Nazi regime's rise to power in WW2, then changed their minds. HMMMM. The U.S. isn't run by it's people, it's run by the government. Our "Democracy" is a sham, but were still a great country! Were lost in a stream of lies and corruption.
This fellow knows how it works and we need all the help we can get. Identifying the problem (understanding it), is the most important part of the solution.
Although Ron Paul woke us up, we must go beyond that and focus on continuing to define the problem in terms and ways this fellow demonstrates. They can label Ron Paul as a nut and marginalize us all, but they will have difficulty attacking the ideas and conversation that is in general circulation, that is apart of society.
Eugene is the common sense! I want him to write the irrepressible public mandate for Obama. Heck, let's get Barack to put Jarecki in the cabinet! HEAR HERE!! The Eisenhower Project and I'm impressing on new folks everyday this nonpartisan issue. Thank you Eugene!!
it's mainly because of world war2 , that the usa ramped up its miltary output. It's outdated, and need not continue.

The USA is a lamb compared to nations like Germany and the UK. I don't think Germany has come across a war they didnt like.
