But im prety sure Jin is dead or she wouldnt have cried at his grave mike, unless its a decoy grave and her only link to him because she cant get back to him on the island, but also in an interview, the guy who plays Jin was interviewed and he just said he had to play like he was still alive. but actors never know till later if their characters are still alive or not

well Mikde, not exactly the way I planned but I was right Jin is definitly dead, so much for the he being alive on the island theory, sucks that Michael is dead, he only got about 5 episodes,and for anybody thinking Christian swaved him, nope, The island wouldnt let Michael die, christian was only there to say he could. :) I was like WTF, who the hell is Jeremy Benthem, but ever since the season 3 finale, my gues was Locke. :)

Oops, sorry about my last two posts. They were supposed to be in response to particular comments, but somehow they've ended up at the top. Oh well, they're there now!

Basically, I don't know whether or not Jin is still alive, but I honestly don't think his death would be a direct result of Mr. Paik's doings. When Sun told her father he was one of the reasons Jin died, she also suggested it was because of him that they were on the plane. And as best we are aware, the plane crash killed Jin.

it all makes sense now. thanks Mike but thats what I meant by his assasination that I assumded. that he was assasinated for tying on the bow of the wrong gender. but the fact he said he gets married in two months also makes sense for the flashback, i just thought maybe they were getting remarried or something. but i didnt say he failed to deliver the bear. but i realize now it was a jin flash-back. thanks.

In the episode where you find out that Sun gets off the island, when she goes to Jins grave, the date on the tombstone of his death is the date the plane crashed. Therefore, Jin may not be dead but they've said he is as a cover up so people dont find out about the island

I think that when he delivered the bear, the man intentionslly told him it was a boy so Jin would screw up when the baby was actually a girl and since he tied that blue robbon to the bear ((Representing a male infant.)) is what caused Jin to be assasinated. These are just my ideas on how Jin died and remember, Suns father will kill anyone for the stupidest of reasons.

Sorry everybody revising my thoughts. since we see Jin off the island, they must obviously get rid of the C4 and the boat doesnt explode, i believe Jin was assasinated on the orders of Suns father for doing something wrong when delivering that Panda Bear doll as a gift. And hes dead before the Oceanic Six is formed.

We don't see Jin off the Island, except in flashbacks. We've seen the Oceanic Six touch down in Hawaii, and Jin isn't one of them.

The "Ji Yeon" episode contains a Sun flashforward and a Jin flashback. He delivered the Panda while he was working for Mr. Paik, two months after marrying Sun (which he tells the nurse as he leaves the hospial).

I don't know whether or not Jin is still alive, but we certainly have not seen him off the Island. At least not yet.

How could he have been assassinated for failing to deliver the Panda (which we saw him do successfully) if he managed to get on the plane and has not been seen off the Island since (at least not in what we've been shown)?

If Jin has indeed been assassinated under Mr. Paik's orders, we would have to assume that he is still alive on the Island when the Ocean Six return home, and that Mr. Paik knows this. In any case, this would be basing the theory on information we have not been presented with.

Well Mike what i meant by him getting assasinated was after they got off the island but before the Oceanic six was formed and that he was assasinated for tieng the blue bow onto the bear assuming it was boy cause the man said so. i also assumed the man was lying about the the gender so Jin would screw up and was assasinated for assuming the baby was male,even though the panda was delivered successfully but these were my mistakes, your right. I shouldve realized it was actually a Jin flashback

but my thoughts about Charles' C4 exploding resulting in the death of Jin, desmond, Michael, and others contradicts another thought, if the Helicopter is out of fuel and the boat blows up how do the oceanic six get to that plane that takes them to the Military base west of Honolulu. So maybe the boat doesnt blow up and it would help explain the Oceanic Six getting back to civilization but that wouldnt explain Jin's death Any thoughts on my two ideas?

Actually, I think Jin may well stay alive on the island. I don't yet know how he will get away from the boat back to the island and why he doesn't go with his wife but I think he definetly survives.

Well stated Jope88, but it doesnt explain why Sun cried at his graveside and she was just in such grief that you cant help but know that he died, plus before season 4 started, I also read before season 4 started about more characters dying. Plus in birth she was delerious, calling Jins name. And no he gets off the Island, if you remember in the flash-forward during Suns labor we see him bying a giant Panda doll for somebody's baby ((Not Sun's))

And just for the fact we see Jin in a flash-forward, sometime before Sun gives birth, (( scene makes you think both events are happening in same time frame)) tells us he also got off the island but before the Oceanic six was formed because Jin was already dead at that point. So it was a good idea Jope88 but im sorry to inform you that if you saw that episode, Jin does get off the island and most probably beyond all doubt really does die.

I think he does die because look at how angry Sun is when she is talking to her father in part one of the episode. I dont think she would be that angry if he was alive. Also when she says you hated Jin and thats why he died (something along the lines of that)her father acts like he knew he was dead because he said "I am your father, you will treat me with respect". Can you reply on what you think?

So maybe Sun has just gotten into the helicopter and then the boat explodes. He thinks Jin is dead but he actually survives and washes back to the island. How about that. That way Sun wouldn't know if Jin was alive even though he is. That's my guess and i'm sticking to it.

I have made some deductions, these are not spoilers but my thoughts only. I think that Desmond, michael, and Jin will not be able to get rid of the C4 and the boat blows up, this supports what sun said about her father being responsible for Jins death ((she blamed him for them getting on the plane)) and Charles widmoore, So i believe the two people responsible are Suns father((for giving them reason to leave on 815)) and Charles ((for wanting to use the C4 on the island))
