I love the feeling on Oxycontin but my tolerance builds up so fast so i dont do it and it can cause respiratory depression so i do Norcos which is awesome too but of course u build tolerance to them too eventually not so fast as Oxycontin though. oxycontin you can easy get off if you get addicted if u take 10 pills a day you take 9 for 5 days then 8 for 5 more days untill one is left that is the hardest to stop take, but after you stop you only get some upset tummy thats it, after that its up to you this is only if u eat the pills as its ment to i dunno about taking it through a shot.
All this drugs to escape BS isn't always the case, i just happened to try Dilaudid once, i snorted it and it was the best freaking high ever so ofcourse i wanted to do it again, but once you cross that line after doing it for a week or 2 your fucked, you might as well keep going cause you cross that line and you know your going to get sick. I detox'd in the county jail several times with nothing but advil and ensure, id do a couple months, get out and go right back to it. Very tough problem.

its quite common to throw up first times. i did on methadone. then i did on morphine. i didnt the very first time i did oxy...but the second time the day after i was very sick.... but ofcourse tolerance soon rises
good advice im on methadone cause i wanted to have a little fun one day with OC then got hooked and was taking anykind of pain killer i could for a year or 2 on the dry days i had to filter out codeine from tylenol 1s through a coffee filter and the caffeine was killing me ....... and now im glad treatment programs exist and are not a topic of jokes but rather a medical necessity for many alike this is one where i would love to do thanks 2 u and others dont because the education THANKS

What I never see is the comparison of Oxycontin to percocet. Oxycodone is the same narcotic in both. In percocets there are 5mgs of oxycodone and up to 80mgs in oxycontins. That means that in one 80 mg oxycontin you are taking the equilalent of 16 percocets! Crush or snort an 80 and you get 16 percosets at once! Take 4 or 5 a day on oxys and you are taking 64 to 80 percocets a day.

All this drugs to escape BS isn't always the case, i just happened to try Dilaudid once, i snorted it and it was the best freaking high ever so ofcourse i wanted to do it again, but once you cross that line after doing it for a week or 2 your fucked, you might as well keep going cause you cross that line and you know your going to get sick. I've oded once and thats because it was something new and i did not research my measurements so i did what i thought was a good dose. @CNSagent naw Oxycodone does come in 30mg prescriptions.. I wrote the prescription myself.. went to the pharmacy and picked it up myself.

@rickyp17 No, Percocet (which is nothing more than a trade name for oxycodone & acetaminophen tabs) is only suppled in 2.5, 5, 7.5 and 10mg oxycodone dosages. Percocet is NOT suppleied in 30mg oxycodone dosages. That is an undeniable fact. Believe me, the drug that you and atl2maryland are confused about is 30mg ROXICODONE (oxycodone instant-release tabs).

If anyone wants to know about what drug addiction can do, talk to my mom. She's made a mistake, but I look at her as a role model. I am 15 now. She is on methadone. She has told me she isn't clean because of methadone, but I think she is. She isn't going out on the streets buying drugs from sleazy people. She tells me the stories, and I go through depression and I would use to want to turn to drugs to run away from my problems, but her stories can change a person.

@ronaldsucks I understand that some individuals have less will power than others, however, Suboxone is not the solution to opioid addiction/dependence. It's merely a crutch, perhaps more of a crutch than the opioid an individual wishes to discontinue using.

What I never see is the comparison of Oxycontin to percocet. Oxycodone is the same narcotic in both. In percocets there are 5mgs of oxycodone and up to 80mgs in oxycontins. That means that in one 80 mg oxycontin you are taking the equilalent of 16 percocets! Crush or snort an 80 and you get 16 percosets at once! Take 4 or 5 a day on oxys and you are taking 64 to 80 percocets a day.

@Cozmagoth17 Surprisingly enough, (pure) heroin is less detrimental to the human body than most prescription opioids (e.g heroin has a shorter half-life).
Although, heroin is more potent, therefore, in theory, repeated heroin abuse (opposed to oxycodone abuse) is more detrimental to the human brain - repeated opioid abuse, just as repeated cocaine and amphetamine abuse, desensitizes opioid receptors, and eventually down-regulates them as well. That's a major drawback to opioid abuse.

@jolyjungle There are 30mg percocets and honestly those are the only ones that are worth anything. The 5's and 10's are almost not even worth mentioning. 30mg Perc's are pretty comparable to Oxycontin

HA loving oxys you aint no addict then, and there is no such thing as doing then reguarly b.c soon you WILL b hoooked!! i got hooked at 18 years old and i am 21 years old and been suffering from addiction for 4 years now.in between that i time i had clean time and relapased plenty of times, its truely a life struggle.
