I think the most hypocritical thing about the modeling industry is the agents and industry clients that are judging models are usually unhealthy and unhappy with their own lives. They get an ego lift nitpicking on beautiful women. The fact is the most beautiful women in the world have healthy figures like Penelope Cruz, Heidi Klum, etc. The waif look is out, it is so 1990!

But honestly, I think running your channel and sticking to your philosophy of encouraging natural body confidence and "changing your style, not your self" will help to change things, just from the outside. You may not change the industry directly but you can change the CONSUMERS by giving them confidence!

Last year I went to Berlin for the Elite Model Look Casting..and they immediatly told me that I´m fat..I am about 6 ft tall and weigh 130 pounds, hope I did the conversion correctly but anyways, they didn´t wanted a healthy looking girl at all..and also, telling an 17-year old girl that she´s fat when she´s not can cause some very bad effects..I´m so proud you tried to change their ideas and it´s sad that you failed, but I think that it is nearly impossible..
i love people that do what they believe in.that just makes u so wonderful and authentic.i had to struggle with my weight so many years. i was tooo skinny and i didnt feel confortable.people were trying to force on me to get a model, but i wanted is really to gain weight.when i lived in the states for a year i just stopped ciritizing myself and now im so happy

I've done a project while i am studying in the university about eating disorder and self image definition. Patients of eating disorder always feels depressed and not feeling right about their body, for the mostly they don't have much self-confidence or even have a contorted body image perception. I think you could definitely help them. ^^

One way to change the industry is someone would have to be really successful doing something different. While the fat cats are making money doing what theyre doing they will not change.

The fasion industry needs more REAL women like you Anna-someone with integrity, compassion and who understands why a dangerous image the industry is promoting. Women are not hangers. We need to shine through the clothes we are wearing not have them lost on our skeletal frames. Have no regrets because you are the true role MODEL that doesn't need judging.

i love the whole positive thing- BUT... we need a New industry-new bones new brains- new models-new looks-new attudite- - we as women are just hard on our selves by nature- but that can be used for good- we need a self acceptance trend that catches on! love you great job on your part-- follow your heart! love shelly

Anna I could hug you now! I did notice you changing in your videos and I thought that I wasn't sure why. But now I kind of see what might have been going on. It must have been such a hard decision for you to make seeing as Elite is such a big modelling agency. I admire you so much for sticking to your philosophy and principles anyway. Very impressed with your move, Anna. I think it's incredibly important that women are not weighed or measured in order to 'qualify' them for a particular job. Of course, since I suffered from anorexia for some years, I know the value of loving yourself for more than your physical size. I'm thrilled you're not long apart of this. Model companies will never change - skinny, emaciated frames holds clothes better than ones with vital flesh. I hope the industry can change one day too. Peace&love xxx
