Thanks, AVDJ, but this is really something, because I was just thinking of this video earlier in the day. I hadn't thought of it in months! That's quite a coincidence, enough of one to mention it, I think!
I lost my mom this monday, i wish you the best, and i'd like to hope there will be an end to this empty feeling consuming me... it's like a big hole being torn out of you, my condolances to you, i hope it has gotten easier over time.
Hi dreaminvasion. I'm so sorry that you've lost your Mother, and I do remember the emptiness I felt when I first lost mine about eight years ago. That feeling diminishes over time, yes. The hole you're describing will certainly heal. There will be moments after that when the loss hits you again, such as this past Mother's Day for me, but you'll process that and be fine. dreaminvasion, you are very welcome to communicate with me privately, if the need arises. :)
Karacaw...I give it a red carnation in Japan in Mother's Day. The person who lost mother like me white. But I hate it. I give a red carnation to mother. Thank you.
I'm back to watch again. *sigh* Still a masterpiece. I'm sure you Mom would have loved it. I'm thinking about~since watching this~ making one for my Dad.
Jason, I threw this together Sunday afternoon. I'd seen a few other Mother's Day videos and thought about how I'd promoted my Dad so much here because of the traveling shoes, but had said so little about my Mom. Of course, I didn't say a word in this video, did I? :)
Thanks Moomay! Happy Mother's Day ... uh, yesterday. ;-)
Thank you for sharing NaruyoJapan's video with me. I was touched by her kindness, Moomay, and that prompted this video. My Mom loved the cherry blossom trees in D.C., and would occasionally talk about the fact that they were a gift from Japan. :)
I never thought about that Peter, but you're right. We're from very near the D.C. area, in Alexandria, Virginia. My Mother loved the cherry blossom trees around the Jefferson Memorial, which were a gift from Japan in 1912.
Jim, it's true! They are! When we discovered that my Mother was mortally ill, at certain point I cried and said that I didn't want to lose her. She replied that she would always be with me. Now, when I think of all the women in my life, and how they have so often held me up, I'm reminded of my Mother's promise. :)
That was a very nice tribute to your mother. I'm sorry she is gone. I know how bad it hurts losing a parent and how much you miss them. I'm sure your mother would be very proud to see this. Betty, you're the best!!
Well, she's been gone eight years. Pete just lost his Mom last year, and Juhler's wife passed away last year too. I guess I just felt alone today. I don't feel that way anymore though.
This is beautiful... You did a great job for whom i'm sure was a great woman... I Love my mommie and i love to see these mothers day videos... Thanks for shareing... KluTz
Cyberhugletts gratefully accepted and returned, PappyStu. On another Mother's Day, I could make a whimsical video about my Mom. This just wasn't the year. Tomorrow will be different though. :)
Yeah, I know there are people who aren't so fortunate. Mine gave us 80 wonderful years, and left us a legacy of great memories. She was a very special lady.
Glad to. She was an avid gardener with a passion for roses and orchids. I taught her how to grow orchids when they moved down here in the 80s, and that Brassocattleya was her first, and always her favorite, because of the color.
is is really pretty

I remember those days, and I had white gloves when I was a little girl. The were very impractical for tree climbing and catching frogs. ;-)
