  • Interesting that most of the signature lines Eddie performed on Hammond organ on the record are done on the CS-80 and Yamaha piano here instead. I think this version is a bit better actually because of it.

  • The studio version is perfect also in the mix and sound output as well, but nevermind...

  • Thanks ever so much for posting this, I've never heard this version before. Story for you: Was given ipod hours b4 June trip to Europe - had time to download their first album only. Surreal, beautiful experience coming into Earlscourt Station, London for the first time from Heathrow on the train with "Alaska" blasting. Music and musicians born out these neighbourhoods(except Terry). Unforgettable, powerful. Wonderful music with such conviction, fireworks and bravery.

  • I have more boots of UK than any other band for the fact that so many of the songs from Danger Money (which I still love as it is) are performed live with the original four man line-up. It's literally like hearing a whole album that otherwise doesn't exist. I see people trying to compare the line-up of UK/UK with that of Danger Money and Night after Night. Why bother? There are more boots of the original line-up than the second. I have almost all of them from way back. Cost a fortune back then.

  • @thealbumcollector my hd died with pretty much every bootleg you could get. lost of 50+ concerts and 4 rare traded videos that traders well not re trade me.

sad day but atleast shits getting out

  • @damphear2 Sorry to hear it. I have 4 videos as well. Don't think I have every boot, but you know there's a lot of repetition in there. I have boots of both line-ups, but most of them are the original 4 man group. I once had good copies of their appearance on The Gray Whistle Test, but was on VHS and has corrupted beyond recall. That's my sad story. I don't compare the line-ups because there isn't much similarity between them. I look at it like two different bands, and I think Bozzio is better.

  • @damphear2 I hope they get some sort of release somewhere because I fripping love UK.

  • @thealbumcollector and i dislike the terry bozzio line up

  • If I was proffessional drummer .. never I could try to take Bruford's place .

White tried to.. Bozzio tried too.

They tried ..; but Bruford was there ..he is so easy on music.

    So hard for other musicians

His problem is he was a canibal

  • When I saw them at St. Denis Theatre in Montreal, they played at least one song that wasn't on UK-UK, pretty sure this was it. Beautiful to hear it again!

  • @placidian You got to see UK? You SUCK!... Just jealous.

  • JA JA....JA!

  • Where's BOZZIO when you need him?

  • Bruford is KING...just listen how sick tight

  • After hearing the record for 20 years its nice to hear a different version of this song this was omitted from the live album so mits still fresh.

  • pretty good. wish i was there

  • I think this has to be the best 4 piece band I have ever heard in my life! They play so tightly and so soulfully.

  • amen

  • Excellent music and quite different from the studio version. What happened with "Carrying no Cross"? Thanks for posting.

  • Very very very early rendition of this song...

Arrangment is very different to live versions later on the 1978 tour... no funky bass solo fills by JW before the verse. :(

    Still great though.
