  • The smith machine doesn't fully hit the ground, but I have a short torso, long arms, and long legs so the couple inches of elevation helps me to feel like I am not fully bending over the bar, if anything kind of helps my form and allows me to focus on hip drive if that makes sense.

  • Ok, the bar not being 45 lbs technically makes sense because I was doing 305 on it which I never hit before. Thanks for the reply.

  • I'm only going to have access to a smith machine for dead lifts, it has a 45 lb bar but will it hinder my gains? I've heard it won't work your stabilizers but will that affect your vertical?

  • @chaz72987 stabilization isn't much of an issue with deadlift. I don't think you'll lose much if any benefit using a smith machine. Does the weight lower all the way to the floor tho? I don't think it usually does. May have to compensate by elevating yourself a little. Also, you can't count the bar weight as 45 lbs. The machine practically lifts the bar for you once it gets moving.

  • wtf, do you have only 135 lbs?

  • @vejovlog 325lbs lol not 135

  • @vejovlog look at the end: BODY WEIGHT 135 LBS

  • @vejovlog that's what the video says

  • THERE YA GOOOO CHRISS pull that shyt like there no 2morrow!!! gud lift dood!
