Actually, an 64gb iPad can hold 91(!) 700mb movies. 5 or 6?? Tell me exactly where you find your movies that are 12gb large. Even 1080p movies are only 4gb large and the iPad's screen isn't even 1080p!! The screen of an iPad is more or less 720p, and you could fit 32 720p movies on it!! (a goodly compressed 720p movie is around 2gb yet Avatar Extended Edition can be found at only 1gb)

I have an iPad it's great for bloggers or people who don't want to carry around a laptop. With my wireless keyboard I am set and ready to go. Great apps great battery life great music. you can now get adapters for your ipad for sd and usb the ipad has an amazing battery life and it has ways to work around flash infact ive never needed flash once on my ipad and im always on the ipad also the price is about £450 so problem soloved
You have a good point. I own an iPad but things like battery life aren't a problem since whenever I'm not using it it's plugged in. I mostly use it for if all of a sudden I need to know some random fact then I'll use it but the internet is really slow. I also might use it if my internet isn't working (Which is often) and I'm bored and want to play a game or something. There really isn't anything really cool about it minus that it's like a crappier touchscreen laptop.

4. Alongside WI-Fi, it must support all current encryption types (WEP, WPA, etc.)
5. camera is nice, but not needed for me.
The new iPad 2, I think is worse, it's slimmer, and yet, battery life is untouched, I would take a bulky object with great battery life, over a slim device, with poor battery life.
@Jon I think you should have gone into gaming a little bit. What if you want a portable game player that doesn't only play games? That's why I wanted an Ipod touch, because of apps and games, if I had wanted it only for music I'd have bought a Zune HD, and I didn't get an iphone (I would get a different, better smart phone anyway) because of data charges. But of course, if I were to get a tablet, it would not be an ipad, but instead an Asus transformer 2 or Motorola Xoom.

I don't like it, but, (for me at least) it lasts great with the batt life (almost a whole day) and is a GREAT starter controller for Traktor Pro and other DAWs. Not much use other than that.

The Ipad is a gizmo that all depends on your preference. Jon is a person who is a power user, who prefers the highest specs possible. Well this might be because my stepdad works with computers but he has 2 ipads, both last quite a long time, works alot of places for him even without his portable wi-fi, and he can transfer things on the Ipad out via the application Evernote. I like it because as an artist; it's a working sketch tablet with a stylus instead of my bamboo tablet that is now useless after 2 uses because the battery fried when I didn't use it. I don't like it, but, (for me at least) it lasts great with the batt life (almost a whole day) and is a GREAT starter controller for Traktor Pro and other DAWs. Not much use other than that.

I use mine for school. It's amazing for studying, taking notes, and my school gets wifi. I read my books off there during long trips (yes i know you can get regular books) but some airports have wifi. I like my iPad 2.

No matter what everybody says, people are still gonna buy it due to marketing. Most people who have electronics have atleast 1 apple product becuase they came out first whith the best stuff. since most people like to stay with the crowd, they get the ipad to stay with the crowd.

The iPad is simply a widescreen version of an iTouch.
The iTouch to me is only good for playing some games like PvZ, Bakery Story and listen to mp3 songs.
Other than that, I dont think is worth that much.
My sister gave it to me as a hand-me-down otherwise I would not have used it.

iPad: it's overpriced, it's useless, it does things that other devices already do, and it was really just Steve Jobs' arrogance and egotism given form. He thought it would replace laptops. Why would it replace a laptop? I can play World of Wacraft, Counter-Strike, Team Fortress 2, etc on my laptop. And this is a continuing issue with Apple, even in their little Mac vs. PC ads they say it: they think people care more about iMovie than a computer game. Which is wrong.

The Ipad is a gizmo that all depends on your preference. Jon is a person who is a power user, who prefers the highest specs possible. However, for my grandpa, who prefers to sit on a couch, watch news on it, it suits him. I personally think its garbage, but that's just because i have a working media player that has specs i prefer. I always respect someone's opinion

Well this might be because my stepdad works with computers but he has 2 ipads, both last quite a long time, works alot of places for him even without his portable wi-fi, and he can transfer things on the Ipad out via the application Evernote. I like it because as an artist; it's a working sketch tablet with a stylus instead of my bamboo tablet that is now useless after 2 uses because the battery fried when I didn't use it. While I respect your opinion Jon it isn't completely useless as you feel
