  • doesn't have anyone the version with the metropolitan orchestra? that was a marvelous concert!

  • Try "Theodorakis Neruda 4 " here, it is very moving, as this is, but different, I love both.

  • Theodorakis Neruda America Insurecta 1974 is on the youtube. I love it, I think it's what you're looking for.

  • i was actually looking for the 1996 version at the herodion. but thank you!

  • it goes like this:#9 #10 #11..but there is something wrong with the #9 video!

  • #4 is from the film Z MUSIC BY THEODORAKIS!

  • Sure, Nixter, but I was talking about another performance of America Insurrecta, that uses all the lyrics I posted. If you search Theodorakis neruda 4, it's not as stirring as the Dalaras version, but they do sing the whole poem, not just to "carceles del suelo".

Sorry if I said something confusing.

  • The version of America Insurrecta at Theodorakis Neruda 4

includes all the lyrics below, with the last part sung with the first, hard to follow maybe but gorgeous.

I notice now that this Dalaras performance ends at "carceles del suelo". To hear all the words, try the Theodorakis Neruda 4.

  • i think the last part is # 11

  • Hoy nacerás del pueblo como entonces.

Hoy saldrás del carbón y del rocío.

Hoy llegarás a sacudir las puertas

    con manos maltratadas, con pedazos

    de alma sobreviviente, con racimos

de miradas que no extinguió la muerte,

    con herramientas hurañas

    armadas bajo los harapos.

Oh dear, oops, when posting lyrics, start at the end and go "backwards', don't do what I did. Anyway, enjoy!

  • margot980,you really impress me! thank you for taking my "advise"....don't you thing it worthed to listen to this wonderful singer, and this wonderful song? THEODORAKIS,DALARAS,NEROUDA ,what a great combination!it really takes us away, in magical realms !bless you!

  • it's

  • Neruda!

  • This is so powerful. It will be in my head as I walk for days.

Thank you Nixter for putting me onto this concert.

  • What does Radio Yasoo have to do with the concert?

  • MAGNIFIQUE ! YASHA YORGO !

  • Definitely he is! An active citizen

  • Best singer ever !!!

  • best singer in the world!!!!!!!!!

  • Thank you thank you for putting me onto this. I also loved 4, 5 and 7.
