i think the volcanic lake means... the volcano boils the water so much, it becomes sulfuric acid and kills any1 who touches it..

One thing to remember about rom hacks... The music needs to use the original game's soundfont, so basically, the author could only use the instrument samples included in Super Mario World. It is far more complicated than using MIDI software.

I use the emulator called ZSNES to play the rom hack. I use a game pad... paws would be too cramped on my laptop keyboard for games.
