no no no wait please japanese custom say always shooting a man in the back please.

ror this is so stereotypicar it's hirarious!

  • made by the people who think arabian nights is a good family song!

  • counteraction with humans was near non-existent in the Donald Duck-Mickey Mouse comics and movies. So here DD was fighting humans from Germany, Japan, and italian and not the ducks or dogs from those countries.

  • why would a duck need a boat? please?

  • @mahdiman420 why just a regular boat why not a "Duck boat" LOL

  • @mahdiman420 Why do humans need boats? Swimming gets very exhausting after a while, especially when you're fully clothed and need to keep your heavy weapons dry.

  • " from the folks who brought you today's society!"

    ....

Is that a good or bad thing?

  • Kick Japanese ass!!

  • that is one QUALITY raft.

  • yea, 2:19. didnt know arisaka rifles had a hammer.

  • you can put one even a axe..

  • 2:00 japanese panokio

  • AHHHH CLASSIC DISNEY RACISM. GOOD TIMES. >:D

  • @snipernosnipin Everyone's racist; don't chastise Disney for racism in their movies unless you plan on chastising EVERYONE in the entertainment industry for racism in their entertainment products.

  • @ztslovebird I was just going to say... then I saw you beat me to it. I grew up on these cartoons and still dont have a racist bone in my body:-) The media of the day were to blame. Disney employed black folks when no one else back then did so he wasnt all bad, just a sign of his times.

  • @guitarplayer4real It's not just the Walt-era Disney cartoons that are chastised for being racist. There are some who hate the original Tarzan movie because of the tribe of African natives that Tarzan is . . . associated with, and those same people are pissed that the African tribe was completely cut out of the Disney movie and kind of replaced with the gorillas. If someone tried to make a movie that pleased everyone absolutely, that movie would never get made.

  • Disney is a perv company...Ever notice that most of their characters never ware pants?

  • jl

  • How were the Japanese really wiped out during this war?

  • @Tol1126 By the two atomic bomb if I'm not mistaken

  • 3:44 "I dood it!"

  • Sorry uploader; the folks who are bringing you "today's society" are not the brave men and women from the Greatest Generation that made this cartoon and made America great, they are liberal cowards who don't have a clue what it means to be a true American.

  • @ohger1 Havent you ever heard of a Liberation Army, you know, communists, the farthest left you can be, and they are fearless fighters, and im pretty sure there are no specific qualifications besides citizenship to be a true american

  • orite, here he coming, time to shooting now, prease I hope

no, no, no, wait prease. Japanese customa saying arways shooting a man in the back prease

Racial stereotypes may be politically incorrect nowadays, but they're still hella funny.

  • I think the Walt Disney studios were made to produce propaganda films in the 1940s by the government. All these films actually cost disney a fortune and kept them way behind on the projects they wanted to do.

  • 0:47 bottom right corner its the shadow of an upside down vibrating penis

  • Walt Disney was racist?!?!? Last time I'm ever visiting Disney world!

  • @MuSiKFL0

No, he wasn't racist, he was very patriotic and proud of be American

  • @MuSiKFL0 Racial stereotypes were common in the 1930s and 40s cartoon shorts. The Disney Studios today would not approve of content like this to be made in the current days of animation. Walt Disney himself was not racist but this was meant to make fun of and mock the enemy during World War II. This cartoon short is officially banned from T.V. and in public because of the offensive stereotypes used in this cartoon short. This cartoon however was released onto two Walt Disney Treasures DVD sets.

  • Good thing he's not their prisoner, he would be turned into duck sauce.

  • @ACDCJCUSMC mmmmmm, duck sauce!

  • lol japanese custom, always shoot a man in the back

  • only thing that donald duck can say right:Snipers!!!!

  • You are to surround them. xD

  • Some of the animation in that cartoon was pretty darn good

  • thats terrible, I loved Loony Toons. but man... thats what Hell of a Raft

  • @Rachamoo Donald duck isn't a part of the loony toons. -_-'

  • @lazicful Lol xD wooops. I always do that cuz of Daffy xD my bad. At least we have an "idiot of the week" comment c:

  • @Rachamoo Lolz. =]

  • @lazicful Lol xD wooops. I always do that because Loony Toons has Daffy Duck. Wow... now I think I won the " Idiot of the week " comment lol

  • CANADA SUCKS

  • Wartet, ein japanisches Sprichwort sagt: Immer in den Rücken schießen!

    LOL!

  • Man eating crocodiles.... in japan....

  • haha i lol'd

  • mascitos are bullets? wow

  • 1 flood destroyed an ENTIRE JAP AIRFIELD!

  • is it me or is are the subs german

  • hmm. 'military propaganda'. kinda like The Flintstones is 'evolution propaganda'. cartoons are about satire. if you ban satire, there goes Bugs Bunny, the Simpsons, Futurama...the whole deal...well...actually there's still Muppet Babies :D

  • When i look back now, man, the drawers were on drugs when they made this... WTF!?

  • Classic cartoon comedy if I ever saw it.

  • No,No. Japanese custom to shoot enemy in back. 2:30

  • Typical bloody yank bollocks

  • @dudesrock2

...From FREAKING WORLD WAR TWO. Sorry your country couldn't have helped produce much spirit. I'm sorry, weren't your country's soldiers killed in that, too? It's old propaganda, for Pete's sake.

  • @SwizztheWolf5 i no mate but i just hate crap like this people picture the Japanese as cowards when they are known for Kamikaze and Banzai attacks i mean WTF?

  • @dudesrock2 So they weren't cowards then. They were just stupid mindless drones.

  • @Redgrant80 hahaha you obviously dont know what Bushido is dont worry i wouldnt expect an American to understand it anyway.

  • @dudesrock2 No actually I do know. It was a code of ethics for warriors first published around the turn of the century. If the soldiers in the Japanese military during the 40's showed us anything it's that following those codes is a good way to lose a war.

  • @Redgrant80 never mind then you obviously do not have much respect for someone with more honour than you dont bother replieing again

  • @dudesrock2 Yes because killing thousands of innocent civilians and POWs is an honorable thing to do. So is looting, raping, and using forced labor.

  • @Redgrant80 yea so is destroying two islands and not caring then having two buildings destroyed and treating it like its the only tradegy ever.

  • @dudesrock2 No one said it was. If anything the coalition forces are much more "honorable" than the Japs during WWII. Well at least they aren't brutalized murderers. Besides you changed the subject.

  • @Redgrant80 Look i dont care what you think i dont respect what the Imperial army did in WW2 i respect the spirit and mentality of Japanese soldiers and warriors in battle

  • What this guy said.

I can respect the mentality of the Japanese military as well. It made them an incredibly tough opponent.

  • @dudesrock2 Okay, Kamakaze are just scuicide bombers, But aren't Banzai just last ditch efforts, don't people useually yell Banzai when they aren't to confedent that something could end well for them?

  • @Videogeek95 because to them following bushido has more value than there lives

  • @dudesrock2 Just what the hell is bushido? can I have a translator over here?

  • @Videogeek95 its a Japanese Samurai code of honour

  • @dudesrock2 Wait let me guess, You fight your hardest, then when the eniemy has you at your end, you ignor your injuries and go out like a star defending your warriorness, your Master, and of course, Your honor. Geese, And people call us predictable. (Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to offend anyone here.)

  • The real enemies are the tobacco pushers - killing 5,000,000 addicts and hundreds of thousands more innocent people (who breathed toxic tobacco smoke) around the world, every year!

    BAN THE TOBACCO DRUG, NOW!

  • @tripjet999 legalize everything. if we actually had freedom, maybe we wouldn't stress so much and consume nicotine.

  • I laughed at this stupid war cartoon. So Disney could do some good pieces in old days.

  • I lol'd so hard @ 2:15

  • wait so why is this banned?

  • @muxmedia7 They were being racist towards the Japanese. :/

  • i didnt know donald duck could knife across the universe haha

    (modern warfare 2)

  • One of the bets ones ever made :O :D

  • @whoa92341 bets?

  • @mystictalk lol sorry i meant best =P

  • If you ignore the propaganda/non political incorrectness messages in this Donald Duck cartoon, it is quite funny in Donald Duck way, I am sure small children to young to know any history would have fun watching this without knowing anything about WW2, its just adult who think "what is best for children" usually....

By the way, my fave propaganda cartoon must be Bugs Bunny who is "officially" a USMC during WW2 (he left with a rank of SSgt or something).

  • seen this when i was a kid

  • this was on an episode of the House of Mouse! banned my ass!

  • @jeraldr1111 its banned now, song of the south is also banned NOW but it wasnt for a hwile so stfu u dont on what ur talking about

  • Haha racism is hilarious.

  • wtffff

old cartoons were soooooo much better than these new ones

    this mad lol like crazy

  • Isn't it kinda ironic to have German subtitles on an American propaganda film from WWII?

  • I know this is old and racist, but I can't help laughing at "Happy Cherry Blossoms to you, please!" xD

  • @SecksTheSniper What about "hello please, must line up the dot like a the lone ranger."

  • One sturdy helmet.

  • Even it was banned, it was still sold on VHS during the 90's. Because I saw it many times as a kid.

  • wtf @ 2:15 LOL

happy cherry blossoms to you prease HIIHIIHIIHII

  • @CrappleFartini cherry blossoms were the nicknames of the kamikaze planes

  • Interesting that all of Disney's wartime toons featured Donald (Commando Duck, Der Furher's Face, Spirit of 43).

  • lol i love it when donald was running from the busted rubber boat! HE WAS HAULIN AZZ ! LOL !

  • 2:51 he got face full o lead

  • mad racist.

  • Jonas Brothers < Micky < Goofy < Donald

  • Donald Duck has to be the best character of all Disney has to offer.

  • and this children, is how World War Two was won!

  • This was hilarious! It's always so fun to watch old cartoons.

  • Comment removed

  • LOL - "You are to surround them."

  • For the whole episode there werent any kamikaze planes the duck would have been cooked if one of them suckers decided to go on a suicide run.

  • donald has elegant handwriting .

  • noeezyfluff ur a racist u kkk member

  • @noeezyfluff that's mean lol

  • Comment removed

  • man, this is racist.

  • So the moral of this story is that through dumb luck, you too can wipe out the enemy.

  • @TuthadaDanaan, I'd like to see you post something like this under Nazi or Imperial Japanese domination.

You know, the one thing I've learned of YouTubers is that brains aren't required.

  • こんなのがあるんだね〜o( ̄ ^ ̄ o)

  • I never see the point of why these historical cartoons get banned. They are part of American History and are nostalgic for their times. We need to embrace are shaded past and learn from it instead of hiding these and many other things.

  • I don't care what anyone says, this cartoon was hilarious. "Happy cherry blossom to you please!" LOL

  • This is how children learn COD

  • The German translation of Donald's orders was in the polite form (Sie). Shouldn't it have been the familiar form (du)?

  • @impCaesarAvg Actually, since it was from his superior, I think it could've been translated either way. Tho I think a superior would normally use du to an inferior only if he was being particularly condesceding.

  • So the only way the americans can beat the japs was by sending an absolut klutz of a duck?

No point in commenting on racism this was the 40s... prior to blacks even having rights to speak of

  • be more ironic if the subtitles were in japanese

  • pfew, it was a duck. :D

  • how was this banned?

  • @omegazero9991 i guess since it showed weapons and stuff, u know and how the gun got bent? well, little kids are gonna think they can do that 2 and kill themselves, 2 us it seems like nuthing, but 4 kids... :)

  • @omegazero9991 The Japanese soldiers mention that it is Japanese custom to shoot their enemies in the back - this stereotypes the Japanese as cowards (racism!). Plus they have exaggerated accents (also racism!).

It's fairly innocuous and good humoured though, so the ban is a bit unfair.

  • Watch out for snipers and man eating crocodiles :)

  • I kind of enjoyed watching it. Who doesn't love Donald Duck? lol

  • Thus begins Donald's PTSD According to Cartoon Over Analyzations

  • I was a bit disappointed that it wasn't a Rambo version on Donald

  • i've seen this before!! this is not banned!!!!

  • Why does a duck need a boat? This cartoon has no logic!

  • @TheRandyChimp it's a cartoon about a talking duck what did you expect?

  • @jesusfuckinchrist1 It was a joke. Sorry.

  • @TheRandyChimp it's ok

i wasn't trying to be mean.

    so i'm sorry too

    :D

  • @jesusfuckinchrist1 ha, u and , jesusfuckinchrist1 should b friends thats how i got a friend on youtube, we nearly took up a hole page on comments 2 each other! XD

  • why do they keep putting titles like that it was not a banned cartoon it was made in the time of the war when the army moved in to the walt disney studios to guard an airport that was close by

  • omg. Thats USA for you... In reality it has not changed in its beliefs, just the propaganda is now different.a

  • @tehtud2008 Demonizing your enemies is a human characteristic. Jihadists do it to nonbelievers of their cult, as did the Catholic Church to them in the Dark Ages. Healthy Humans don't like to kill other human psychologically, and when war calls, it helps allievate the tramua by building up the enemy as the Devil. FYI The Japs beat and starved allied soliders in death camps, as well as racially persucuted Koreans and Chinese. STFU.

  • @Nagneto

Couldn't have said that better, (also thank to U.S for sending the Flying Tigers to China by the way). Also the Japanese army keep indoctrinated that their "enemies" are weaklings and shall not be spared, even if they are civilians. So much talk of Japanese fighting honorably (probably the "shooting them in the back" was derived from what the Marines had heard about the Japanese atrocities against surrendered Chinese soldiers and Civilians).

  • @Nagneto Imperial Japan received LESS than it deserved. The monsters conquered an entire continent and murdered untold millions; the US rebuilt Japan. The Asians still hate them for this. I do not know why we are supposed to be so sensitive about the monsters. That we committed offenses against Japanese Americans does not make what Imperial Japan did any less horrific. The tendency to make the Japanese and the Americans morally equivalent enrages almost all non-Japanese Asians.

  • @Nagneto Ussian weren't innocent either. They too didn't treat their prisoners very well. It is a case where winners write the history.

  • GO duck!!

Slam all that damned Jap scum!!

  • Disney brought us today's society?

  • harro prease

  • who watch cartoon with subtitle

  • 2:30 Japanese custom say always shooting a man in the back please!

  • xD i kept laffing cuz thats so fake how a raft could get that big lol

  • in france it have been just a bit censored (japanese references removed and all). Wonder if it was the same for some other countries

  • This was not omitted from the box set "Disney On The Homefront.".

  • 2:02 to 2:18 hhaahahahaha thats hella funny

  • @flyslasher . This wasn't made to give a better view of the war, it was meant to obstruct view, to make the Japanese seem like cartoon villains who need to get shot (or more likely to desensitize). Letters from Iwo Jima sheds light on the war, that they were just people like us, shepherded into a war just like us. This is the government telling you what to think about the Japanese.

PS:No authentic voice acting here. Remember the interment camps? POWs?

  • @samqueler As in maybe they used Japanese POW's since no Japanese-Americans were available at the time (technically no such thing).

  • Well I dont understand why it would have been banned? Nothing wrong with it.

  • @dzanicjasmin It isn't banned, none of these wartime cartoons are banned are even frowned upon many consider it fine moments in the character/companies history

  • this is sooooo racist but really funny

  • This was also dubbed in Dutch and released on video tape in the mid nineties. I have the tape somewhere.

  • lucky duck..but american troops won the war by more than just luck: intensive planning, training and eve-admirable courage.

  • @tamerSQUASH

lol, what? They didn't join in till war was almost over and they were sending people to totally wrong locations such as vietnam.

  • @Bastiest Are you retarded? The war in the Pacific didnt start until the US joined. And the war of Europe would have ended in Nazi Victory if the US did not send supplies to Great Britain. Hitler could not fight a war on 2 fronts. Pearl Harbor was just meant to scare off the US but that was a huge political blunder on the Japanese part because it accomplished the opposite. Vietnam? Thats 20 years later. USA won WW2. Russians would have been crushed if the Nazis fought a 1 front war

  • @tamerSQUASH are you forgetting... the Atom Bomb???

  • Comment removed

  • No, this was made a while before the nuking of japan, about 1 year before...

  • LOL @ his raft getting so damn big!!

  • @huntedrasta hahahahha agreed!

  • Haha, I loved the "Always shooting man in back" remark and the part where it shows the airplane on the spitroast.

  • lol 1 soldier is supposed to surround and wipe out a Japanese airfield......

  • @Supergungun The soldier's Donald Duck, though ;)

  • Donald looks good in that helmet :)

  • american duck taking out japanese troops with german subs

  • funny isnt it xD

  • Oh, those evil Japs! Bury them under tons of water, sand and stones!

  • It's hilarious... "Japanese customs say only shoot enemy in the back" :D
