trust me I have done this to others and if they dont understand what it is like to be drunk then usually they wont even try and do anything as their subconscious cannot process it.

What you are saying is that I could understand a hit of heroin under hypnosis even though i have never touched the stuff. I could act out what i think it maybe like where as someone with real experience of this will actually relive the experience of it. The two versions would look and be completely different.

@lequ No they cant. You have to have an understanding of what the effects of alcohol are physically and psychologically.

If i think a drunk person falls over all the time then i will act this out based on my experience of seeing it but i wont understand psychologically what happens so I will look like a fraud.

If i know what it is to actually be drunk then I will stagger around trying to keep my balance and feel the feelings of happiness (or sadness) based on my own experiences.

First you have to have a memory about actualy experiencing drunckness. Second everyones experience of being drunk is completely different. Third a good hypotist will make sure they are the only ones that can initiate the drunk response and forth a good hypnotist will remove all suggestion rendering the subject completely normal. This is standard stuff if you know what you are doing!

The only real hypnosis happening here is that most of the viewers watching these actors on tv actually believe that this kind of stuff can be done just because they saw it done on tv. The only people I have ever seen get hypnotised to do or say or feel something against thier natural will has been on tv. As long as people want to believe in something there will be actors on television playing the parts so that the public will believe.

Until you have read that book and actually *USED* the methods described therein, better stop talking until you know whereof you speak. the key to this is he got him into a trance and blocked out his critical factor, then he kept repeating the idea of him drinking the cedar over and over again until his uncontentious mind believed it was happening because as a rough rule the uncontentious mind cant differentiate between reality and imagination

the word isn't important. but derren brown sets an anchor on the word at 3:00. So he connects that state of the guy with this word. It could be any word you know. even words that dont have any meaning.
