Game is great except the recycled crap 4th stage the gauntlet. Also no Beebop is another miss. The pluses are great graphics, animation, and music. Really close to perfection here a little laziness brings the game down.

I love this game. Bought it for my Mega Drive just a few months ago. Had never played this before then and it is truly a masterpiece. The Sega version of Turtles in Time if you put it that way. =)

I think that some countryes required that the ninja would be replaced to something else and the ended up with hero.

Well, actually just in the UK and Germany. The BBC thought the word "ninja" had violent connotations so opted for "hero" instead and had the opening, song and titles redone. The Germans just bought up the edited BBC episodes. This silly censorship did not extend to the films though which retained the word "ninja".

Other European broadcasters stuck with the word "ninja".

It's censorship, since it seems the game is from the UK. Ninja was too violent for the censors.
