  • @stamosgang Whoa, whoa, whoa... 250 reps? Why?!?! Dude, you won't gain any muscle doing that many reps. Increase the weight so you can only do 12 reps and repeat that a few times.

  • @stamosgang Well I can't suggest the weight because I don't know your body. Experiment; find a weight with which you can ONLY do 12 reps before your muscles fail (ie. you cannot continue). As for how many sets, well, I would suggest 5 sets of 12 reps to failure every other day if you are doing no other bicep work; if you are doing other bicep exercises too, maybe every 3rd day. You need time to rest and recover, though! Don't work out the same muscles every day.

  • @stamosgang If you do that many reps with a light weight you're gonna have rock solid biceps but they'll be small, like the Bruce Lee sort of physique. If you wanna get bigger sized arms you gotta do like a medium-heavy weight and do 3 sets of 8-12 or until muscle failure. Too many reps will over-do it and you won't gain anything but a lot of pain.

  • @coldray5 pretty sure its normal, it happens to me if I work my bicep alot. whats hurting in the bicep incertion point into the forearm. it hurts because you tore the muscle fibers(which is how you get bigger and stronger muscles)

  • @MrDosz Do enough so that by the last 2 curls of ech set you cant do it anymore(: point is to work your muscle and put some effort into it dont just do low weight so its easy.

  • @MrDosz lol sounds good and good idea would be 3 sets of 12 reps, and do it at a steady pace also rest about no more than a minute between each set. If you cant do that then u need to lower the weight but actually put some effort into it. And quality over quantity. Its better if you do10 good ones instead of 20 fuked up ones.
