  • This guy should get into car sales.

  • This dude is a fucking creep

  • dan is the man

  • Here's an idea, instead of calling the guy a douche, which is unnecessary and obnoxious, don't watch the video. Good grief.

  • My Kitchen Aide works just as well as the Vitamix or Blendtec and cost way less. It's a powerful blender and pulverizes anything you put in it. There's a you tube video that compared blenders and the Kitchen Aide was just as if not more effective than both the blenders mentioned here.

  • Blendtec is better. The vitamix cover got hold of some leafy thing u put in there. While the blendtec... Nothing. Just smooth juice. Actually the blendtec pouverised a bit better than the vitamix. But it's up to the consumer's choice, a blendtec or a vitamix. I for a definite choice is the blendtec. At first I liked the vitamix. But ever since they copied blendtec's design, I lost all trust on them. Now I liked blendtec.

  • I have heard the Vitamix is better, but the Blendtec looks so much cooler on the counter.

  • I was hoping to see what was left after each one was "strained", to see how much was left unblended. It was a blending comparison right? I think that "taste" should not have been the issue!

So, this doesn't answer "which one" for me. Thanks for nothing but a waste of time:(

  • I have owned both and definitely love my Blendtec over Vitamix!

  • Hey there - I purchased my VitaMix partly based off your video -Your video was super helpful! I felt so inspired to also do a video. Thanks so much!!! (also WD40 that cabinet door!!!!)

  • I should have know you were from Oakland. The way you speak is like me. That is why I dig u.

  • lmfao second breakfast! I say that all the time. : ]

  • im a fan of blendtec, but thats just me.

  • they should make a battlebot of this blender

  • Good demo, could have done without the Douchebag's commentary...

  • @nbt777

Man, you couldn't have said it better. What an annoying douche, and the worst part, is that people were actually laughing at his wannabe attempts at being funny.

  • blendtec all the way!!

  • Just do it!

  • vitamix baby!!!

  • can i blend greens with fruit ? i see you guys doing it , looks good

  • @bluefishbrad do it! Even if you keep is mostly veggies (and you should), the sweetness of the fruit mellows the green taste.

  • VITAMIX 4 sure !!!!!!!

  • I found this guy is. Self absorbed douche bag... He's very stuck on himself and you can tell he THINKS HE'S THE SHIT in real life. GET OVER YOURSELF DUDE.....FYI: I got the vitamix today!!!! LOL

  • @Mrepifany

Agreed, kind of a creepy guy.

  • This guy is funny and personable. He belongs on tv.

  • People have no life

  • WE NEED this Guy on NATIONAL AM TV of a Major network

  • Vitamix !

  • As soon as this guy started to talk about making fresh cinnamon using the vitamix i knew this challenge was fixed... didn't even finish watching the rest. " It looks like the vitamix might have pulverized a little bit better.." Yeah I figure I know the rest. Let me guess you sell the vitamix and recommend them.. blah blah blah.

  • @199ALLSTAR u should have viewed the whole video and not come to dumb conclusions as he says in the end "get one them its a tie"

  • Guy is a huge douche.

  • Vitamix®

  • Dan, a little more air in the form of bubbles sitting on top of the vitamix means more oxidation. That is not good for the vitamix. Ok, and the whole unblended leaf in the vitamix is not good either. I get that you have a relationship with vitamix, but it was pretty obvious to the uneducated person which one blended better. Oh, and you didn't mention that the vitamix was a darker color either. hmmm... This was helpful for me.

  • Check this out mixer man...you be's white, you ain't qualify speak da blackman language...you do not sound cool as you tink; except to the synchophants cackling in the background.

    Cease and desist...please.

  • @azcentralsurprise he is what he is, let him be. it ain't cool to dog someone for something stupid like this. your comment is very telling about you.

  • @julietesterman Obviously, he is a white man.

My point-black lingo spout'n white man-NOT cool, especially poorly done.

Hope my comment is very telling about me; I tell it the way I see it. You are free to agree or disagree. Am I entitled to an opinion?

Is he above criticism? He could even take it as constructive criticism and drop the inappropriate affected speech, and come off as more professional and credible.

Made IMHO point and will not continue to dog him. I have better things to do.

    Bye

  • yeah it seems like the only difference is the size of the blender. I'm all for bigger!

  • The difference between the two seems rather minimal. The only difference (that I'm not even sure exists) is that the Vitamix offers a "dry" canister specifically for grinding nuts, seeds, etc. I don't know whether Blendtec offers that or not.

  • The blendtec also fits under my cabinets. I can leave it on the counter and when I can do that I use it much more often.

  • @TragicallyFine The Vitamix has a compact blender size that will also fit underneath cabinets. :)

  • trying to decide which blender to get for my green smoothies. I have a cvs brand and it's just not doing it. My smoothies are chunky but still good.

  • i vote vitamix just bc some of the best chefs in the world use them and ive seen the vitamix do some pretty good damage to some hard foods to puree'. and it comes with the push thingy lol

  • @haexkae42008 the pushy thing with the vitamix seems to be cumersome. i just checked out matt monarch's comparison of vitamix vs blendtec on you tube. look at his video. it is very interesting. you won't like the pushy thing after you see his video of side by side items.

  • Most of this tests done with these two machines are pretty much non inferiority trials. One is not better than other...you get pretty darn good juice from either one. Is either one perfect? NO! Like he said, doesn't matter what you buy...just buy one.

Everyone is so stuck on their childish "mine is better than yours" attitude. geesh!

  • @Sosesm i dont think its a childish mentality, i think people just want to find out which is the bigger bang for their buck, thats all.

  • @Sosesm vitamix stole their techonology thats why they got sued

  • Blendtec must be better if this video ended in a tie, seeing as the guy has a preconceived bias towards the vita-mix.

  • Nice demo. Trying to decide between the two, and please tone some of that sexy down-- hard for me to focus on the blenders. Thanks :)

  • Great demo, and tone some of that sexy down-- it's hard for me to focus on the blenders. Thanks

  • I can't believe that nobody commented on the fact that the Vitamix has a spout (for easier pouring), whereas the Blendtec doesn't. I haven't bought either of them. My blender is still working just fine, but when it dies I think I'm leaning more towards the Vitamix.

  • @soboboo Vitamix is also rounded design where as Blendtec you can use the corners to pour that work better than a spout.

  • @jyur245 - Not from what I'm seeing here. The Vitamix is the one on the left side right? If so, the Blendtec (on the right) you'll notice; after he pours the drink, it's running down the side of the blender. I'm sure he wasn't really focusing on HOW he was pouring, but still it's noticeable. It's a small thing, but....for some reason that kinda stood out. I'm just surprised nobody else noticed it.

  • @jyur245 using the corners of the blendtec to pour with as opposed to the rounded side of the vitamix was a very good point---i missed that, thanks.

  • 11 Million Patent Infringement Judgment Awarded to Blendtec Federal jury finds Vita-Mix willfully infringed Blendtec’s patents in four-year long court battle

This is why I just bought the Designer Blendtec!!

  • Good personality, nice video.. thanks for sharing it.

  • Comment removed

  • i found this video through watching a doggy do drain video....

  • you dont use your berville juicer any more???

  • That vitamin i way too tall

  • "Is it the zero or the one" made me chuckle. The O is for open circuit and the | is for closed circuit. Closed circuit is for on. Despite knowing this, I still take a second to figure out which is on and which is off.

Thanks for the video and helping me decide. Such an easy choice now, the cheaper of the two. Thanks!!

  • @thisisaguy

Hahah, I was going to point that out, but I saw your comment. I thought that was hilarious. :D

  • look at me I'm a sellout want to buy a product we got'em all here

  • What is the difference between a Vitamix/Blendtec and a normal blender? Many thanks!

  • @Nicawe The difference is ease-of-use (they usually don't need torn down to be cleaned), NSF-rated (they have tighter clearances so that bacteria can't grow, among other things), longevity, and power, just to name a few. You pay for these differences, clearly, but they are made for commercial operations with at least 12 or so smoothies being made daily; that is for the cheapest models. Their upper-range models can handle hundreds of smoothies or other blended drinks a day for years on end.

  • @RestaurantEquipment And if I can add my two cents worth - the cheapie blenders just can't do smoothies as "smooth" as the high end blenders. I have burned through half a dozen cheapie blenders in the last six years, and have gotten tired of replacing them and their inferior blending. My Vitamix is awesome in spite of the expense. You truly do get what you pay for.

  • 4:07 LOL!!!!!

  • I'm trying to make nut butters, like cashew butter. I have Vitamix and I tried to make the cashews with it which made it stop working for few hours I guess it over heated, but when it cooled off the vitamix started to work again.

My question, what the best machine out there to make different kind of nut butters?

Dan thanks in advance for answering this question for me :) You're awesome.

  • @petersurur I have to tell you a blender is not the best way to make a nut butter with more research you have probably found out the a auger style juicer like the omega series or Champion is best for the nut butters. Now if your looking at nut style sauces and soups then then either one of these will work wonders. Most Blenders do need some kind of fluid to keep them from overheating and burning out. They work well for making dried spices and such though.

  • @ocbc1975 thanks for your reply, At this time I'm looking at Omega 8004 it seam to do the best job with nut butters plus a whole lot of other things including juicing.

  • Both of those blenders are old models...

  • i have a blendtec blender and i love it. I will slow down on solid food. I don't eat red meat or dairy products. Feeling good these days and learning more about my body and eat right so i could direct my kids to a better life. Eat right less doctor visits. Peace and cool video by the way. If possible could you send me some info how to make other healthy drinks if possible.

  • this guy is fucking lame and the ppl in the bg would laught at anything fucking mindless retards -_-

  • WOW!!! Loved the video, awesome reviews, and most of all everything done with tons of sense of humour!!! Loved it!!! I'll probably get the blendtech. Though I must say, this guy who made the comparison should be hired in a kitchen company to provide comparison and reviews!! Great job!!!!!!

  • your comparison is bs. you say its a tie but your video shows otherwise

  • Who is this 8th grade fool

  • Thanks, this was very helpful

  • juicing your food is retarded...all juicers cause oxidation....just eat your veggies and fruits raw and chill the fuck out, juicers aren't natural son

  • @yahoopl3 no offense but the reason why you juice is to get all the nutrition in the day all at once if you don't have all day and talking real here majority of the people don't have the time to do all that , so the only solution is to juice or smooth. and that was a smoothie.

  • @yahoopl3 Wrong! so much energy is used to try to digest the fruits and veggies.... and we don't have 4 stomachs like a cow to eat/digest the green fiberous grasses/greens.

  • @yahoopl3 You need to read up on how blenders break the cell walls down to release all the nutrients. Oxidization is more of a concern on machines that take too long to get it done. The new Blendtec with 4" blade does a smoothy in seconds keeping the oxidization to a minimum but way more than makes up for it by releasing more nutrients you would otherwise put in the toilet. btw... this is not a juicer.. why crap out seeds when you can reap their benefits

  • @yahoopl3 you are wrong buddy pal. Peace

  • Which one do you USE more...that is the question?????????

  • the blendtec is more powerful and smaller, much easier to make multiple types of recipes

  • How do you get B12 on a vegan diet without using supplements?

    Oh wait, you can't.

  • @Qaddosh Bran Flakes.

  • @bricitybrac Fortified with B12, sure. There's no natural vegan source for B12.

  • @Qaddosh And Your Purpose For Clicking/Commenting On This Video Is...?

  • yes indeed your vids are good. Now i know i have to get one of these bad boys. Forget that montell crap. Peace

  • I don't like these advertisements.... They are NO good !!!

  • shutup and blend that shit.

  • Lol the end resault was soo funny...

  • why don't they make them in glass?

  • Blendtec Blender Vs. Vitamix Blender, episode #316

    from TheRawFoodWorld on youtube

  • the blendtec looks a lot lighter in colour....so I am guessing it did not heat up the contains as much as the vitamix ~ thus oxidizing less. if you have the four inch blade on the blendtec then it is easier to scoop out the contains from the jug and quicker to clean afterwards!

truthfully, I would much rather my veggies and fruits not be heated up by a blender.

  • I love the vita-mix because I have the dry container blender for grains and such. Makes a huge differnce :) Both are lovely though.

  • Hi Dan! A friend of mine closed her restaurant and while packing broke the glass part of her Vitamix. She didn't want to deal with it, so she gave it to me. Where can I get the glass top replacement? From you, hopefully :)

  • @theRoseofmyheart Email or call the company and they will send another out. You will have to buy it as it wasn't thier shipping fault ;) ut it is well worth it.

  • @akwolfsong Thank you so much :)

Soon I will mixing up some healhy food:D

  • Will do!

  • Dan, Would you do an interview with Paul Nison via Skype??? Come on man...

  • @smr144 tell him to contact me...

  • @liferegenerator Dan, what foods do you eat for protein?

  • Hey Dan, just got your DVD...I love it. Great stuff man. You are the man.

  • in addition to tasting great of course

  • love your videos , but dont think i want to listen to wizzing noises in my ears today ~ thats what i love about fruits ~ they r silent !

  • AHH I hope you are loving oakland! Thats where I am from!! Check out Berkley Bowl!!

  • keeping it real and raw dan!! :) keep up the awesome work buddy! :)

  • Dan I just recieved my juicer breville 65.00 on amazon free shipping refurbished it's fantastic!!

  • I have to say I picked the blendtec after looking at both. I can hit a preprogrammed blend for making a smoothie or milkshake that turn out perfect. It changes the speed at different points & is awesome.

  • vitamix raped it within 5 seconds

  • My $40 cuisinart does the same thing.Same amount of time too.

  • @surferray69 I had a cuisinart blender too. It did the same thing but started leaking and broke down after 1 year. I guess I've what I paid for.

  • @kelvinyany Thats cool mine is almost 2 years old and still going strong. Its not always about how much you spend.Just bad luck sometimes.

I drive a 2001 jeep cherokee,so far its never broke down.I can't tell you how many times I've passed by brand new BMW'S and Mercedes broke down on the side of the road.

  • Vitamix all the way!

  • he does seem to glow very strong here! love his humor!

  • You're adorable, Dan... lovin' your light... and looking forward to our upcoming journeys!! Thanks for coming to Oakland and inspiring all of us. It was the BEST!!! Much love to you!! xx

  • I have a Vitamix but the blendtec is also great. I would be happy with either one, or both. Great machines. The most important thing is using them. Health and wisdom to everyone. Blessings to all.

  • i've researched both...i'd give the edge to the blendtec (with the 4 inch blade, 96 oz pitcher) for the following reasons. the bottom is wider, thus easier to clean. more powerful 3hp motor. no need to use the tampler/stick thing to push contents down, the blendtec seems to suck everything down to its blades. the blendtec doesn't stand as tall, fitting underneath cabinets easier. i use my blendtec everyday, zero complaints. can't go wrong with either.

  • Everything about this video was delicious!!! ;- P

  • Which one has the most powerful motor? Which one will last longer?

  • @methree11

too many people stress out over these , bottom line is they are both VERY similar and amazing its like comparing a New high performance BMW to a Porsche, both are outstanding and elite so why stress over it ?

differences are so minor that its irrelevant

  • Dan all around the world...Rock on brutha!!! Thx for this posting!!! ;)

  • I can dig it!! xx from the UK

  • BHAHAHAHAHA

  • Funny stuff Dan. I like the vibe of the live audience.

  • It feels like I'm watching a sitcom show, starring you. You rock. I love to see you in your element, just being yourself. Can you dig it!!!!!!!!!!

  • I came up with this recipe on my own, independently. Cool to see you use it too, Dan. I like to add the juice of 1-2 limes to this as well, makes it tart.

  • Dan -- are you allowed to have diary (milk, cheese) on a raw diet?? Or is it ONLY fruit, veggies, seeds?

  • @losingitwithrebecca Dan doesn't eat dairy. More specifically it's raw veganism. So fruits, vegetables, nuts and seeds.

  • from watching the vitamix blended faster even though it started later. and dan...ur looking goooood!

  • Dan you crack me up!! Not just sexy, but funny too ;)

  • I wish they made the vitamix in a model I could afford. You really gotta be into blending to sped $500+

  • Comment removed

  • 0:46 accent change

  • vitamix isn't bad but.... will it blend ?

  • @sweetypie000

If you saw the spinach leaf come out of his mouth, then you know it will not blend with the same suction as the Blendtec.

  • @Blessed2BeeAlive This happens quite often but usually has nothing to do with suction. If you fill up the carafe occasionally something will get pinched with the lid and held in place. Leafy items usually do this and would most likely happen with the blend tec as well..

  • Thanks for being awesome Dan the man.

    God bless you.

  • I was there!! Woohoo...the smoothie was awesome...Dan thanks a ton for the amazing class ... it was a day full of knowledge and wisdom...complete package to satiate the body and mind

  • I own a Blendtec, but based on the video it looks like Vitamix ran a circle around the Blendtec, I mean Vitamix started 2 seconds later and passed up the VM very quickly. BT did an awesome job, but it looks like VM has a bit more power (or ability). I'm sticking with the Blendtec for now because it fits good under my cupboards.

  • Love my Blendtec! It can blend electronics :P

  • I own a vitamix because one, I bought a reconditioned machine to save me money and why buy a new machine if you don't have to! Secondly I like the fact vitamix is more a manuel thing, where as blendtec is like the computer that does it all for you. I like my variable control.

I spent almost 3 years trying to decide which blender to buy and I couldn't be happier. =-)

Maybe im bias though, I've been seeing the vitamix at the fair since i was 4yr old. I'm almost 24. LOL

  • Just to let y'all know, this is my future husband. And that's that! Haha, ah well, a gal can dream can't she? :D

  • Brought the Blentec blender 6 months ago. It was $100 cheaper then the VM and a lot smaller. The 4 inch blade is really cool.

  • i wish i was in that class

  • Looks like you knocked that class out of the park....bet it was a good time.

  • Blentec is too loud the jar had to be replaced after 2 yrsdue to cracks near the seal & it got rusty sold it bought a vitamix & I couldn't be happier :)

  • MAN!!!! You look so healthy!!!!

  • What's Cindy doing hiding in the back? :D

  • Equal but the vitamix probably won't fit on most counters.

  • All about the Vitamix!..keep rockin Dan

  • thank you, thank you. BUT, as I am starting from zero here, this is way to advanced for me. First, I'd like to know what the difference between a juicer and a blender is, what should I buy first, what's more practical? Can one do things that the other can't do?

  • @RawLab The juicer will take out the fiber from the food, you drink the fiber if you blend it with a really good blender

  • @krystilmist : thank you.

  • @missbish for the "Raw Cashew Dressing" I used:

1 1/2 cups of Cashews (soaked for an hr or 2)

    2 tbsp of olive oil

    1 garlic clove

    1 inch cube of ginger

2 to 3 tbsp of agave

start with a 1/4 cup of water (add as needed)

sprinkle other spices as you wish (play with it)

An awesome girl at the Loving Hut near me said yesterday "Cashews are the answer to EVERYTHING" ...I thought hmmm everything??? Flat tire, throw cashews at it. Mental breakdown, eat more cashews ;D Seems logical. Bless

  • Woot No losers here LOL

  • Love my Vitamix.

  • Vitamix is way better...

  • The Vitamix always seems to blend everything effortlessly.

  • cool vid I just bought the 500 dolla vitamix thing is amazing and well worth it.

I noticed the other day that PANERA BREAD uses Blendtech
