The first time his drug issue is outright mentioned is by Hotch in "In Name and Blood" and he says that one of his agents might have a serious drug problem. @thesimsvideo0198 no, he ends up quitting. It's only mentioned between Hotch and Prentiss, but Ethan, Reid's friend, does talk to him about it. He does admit it to a support group in 3.16 elephant's memory though. That's about it. The only others that mention it slightly are Amplification (4.24) and Conflicted (4.20) or did i get those two mixed up? IDK. but anyway... XP

He was. Tobias Hankel, the killer, had Disociative Identity Disorder- the alternate persona of his father tortured Ried, so the real Tobias, who used drugs, gave Ried drugs to deal with the pain. Because of the drug's power, at the end of the episode, he stole the drugs out of Tobias's pocket, thus beggining his struggle with addiction. I wish I could explain better, but you probably have to see "Revelations" to understand.

P.S.- A&E is having a CM marathon on Christmas. It's there.

Umm, kinda. His old friend new, he talked to him about it, everyone else new too but I don't think they ever tell him that they do... Hotch and Prentiss mention it to each other once but that's pretty much it. =D

I know he's adorable! He got his drug problem because of episode 2x15 'Revelations' He was kidnapped and tortured by a man with three different personalities. One of his personalities kept trying to save Reid from 'Raphael' (The personality who was torturing him) so he injected him with Dilaudid to help stop he pain. After the whole ordeal he got hooked on it and started being a jerk to everyone, until he was finally able to get over it... Hoped this helped! =D (I love Martin Short by the way!)

Oh, and if I remember correctly, it was a Wednesday, and there was a television in the hospital room, so I made my girlfriend turn on Criminal Minds. So, I actually tried to watch CM while inadvertantly high on dilaudid. It actually wasn't fun; dilaudid makes you feel awful:-(

This is sort of random but... A few months ago, I had a MRSA abcess (antibiotic-resistant infection) in a highly personal female area. I had to go to the emergency room so they could drain the infection. I was in A LOT of pain, and they were going to have to cut me while I was awake. They injected me with dilaudid, and all I could think about was Reid, LOL. It made my head heavy, and I couldn't walk nor talk right. The doctor kept telling me to scoot down the table, but I couldn't move.

He never really told about, it was just mentioned by everyone gradually, the only time he talked about it was in 'Jones' and 'Elephant's Memory' in Elephant's Memory he was at the self help and in Jones he was talking to Ethan. In 'In Birth and Death' Hotch and Prentiss also briefly talk about it.

Thanks! =D Umm, his friend Ethan from New Orleans warned him that the rest of his team probably knew and that just because it makes him temporarily forget it doesn't make it go away, and he realized he wasn't doing his job right and he didn't want to let his team down so he tried to stay clear of it... He went to that support group as well in Elephant's Memory...
