Man, this video is a part of HIP HOP HISTORY!! Thanks for the upload!! The B-I-G-D-A-Double D-Y-K-A-N-E was King of the World during this time and look at him rockin' the fresh Jordan 3s on stage!
The nine people that pressed thumbs down were obviously in a drunken stupor while viewing this video, or, they have no clue who Big Daddy Kane is and the legendary status that is synonymous with this man's name and what he represents in the culture of Hip-Hop. Thank you for sharing this classic moment in Hip-Hop Abbott Supreme, much love and respect for doing your part to perserve a small piece in time length, (1:42) but relevant never the less historically.
@skratchbastid "The group's next single was "Traveling At The Speed of Thought (Original)"/"M.C.'s Ultra (Part Two)" followed by "Funky/Mentally Mad," one of the most sought-after 12-inch singles of its career. Funky was based on a Joe Cocker piano sample later used as the basis for Dr. Dre and Tupac's California Love. It was released in 1987. This led to the release of the group's first album." from wiki on ultramag's
@AbbottSupreme Big upz to Ma dukes and your Aunt, what!!! Im from that era, and hear me, It was lyrical. There wasn't a such thing as a favorite emcee. There were just many to choose from. No "rappers" during that time. Everyone had emcee status. The concerts were crazy, lotz of energy. These bums today hit the stage with a 100 ppl cant even see the artist nor hear what he's saying, which is prolly nothing! Thanks for the vid, it took me back, Salaam!
since these idiots today! now want to rock the RETRO LOOK! why cant they learn how to perform on stage like KANE and well everybody did back then! but well i guess these shithead are tooo GANGSTA to have stage presence let alone be a real MC!
@poppinghutuka that Song (California Love - Roger Troutman & The Zapp Band )was only made after dre and pac's song of the same name...the only element of it that predated pac's version is the 'shake it, shake it baby' that Zapp borrowed from his own sond 'dancefloor' Zapp didn't compose that beat, though. That is a song called woman to woman by Joe Cocker. Tight cut.
well we know the first track (intro) is from Magnetic ....i want to know whats the 2nd song called .....cause Gay-z sampled that track (Dead or alive ft. S. money)
LIke Kool Moe Dee once said: Big Daddy Kane just has it all! The lyrics, the flow, the moves, the looks, the dancers, the dj, the girls and the list goes on and on like popcorn...
Mister Cee silly using that Ultramagnetic track as the intro. I met Kane in 1988 and 1989 and they never came out to that track. In 88 they was doing a show with the Ultramags in Memphis.
