@chill561 Sorry, "bud", but that's your opinion. I personally ride freeride with my trucks extremely tight, so no, I do not my trucks loose. Stick to your own thing, bud, but try and say that your opinion is "correct".
@HongKongBoyz100 just so you know the reason I said that was because it's easier to slide different slides if you freeride with loose trucks. yes it is personal preference, but it's kinda misleading
@skateninjapro durians suck. i have a set of the 86a ones and theyre soooo sketchy. never slide smooth and are unpredictable. get some slide b's or EW freeriders. also check out any classic thane abec 11 wheel for the smoothest and most predictable slides. they also leave thane lines
Yes i just found out today while i was slideing i just looj were i go and the board follows !! I was sooo happy!!! Bc i could finnaly pendulum slide on my landyatchtz evo
i can do toe side slides 180 and can do oppo toe slides 180 but i cant get them both together to do a pendulum. i just cant manage to slide back. ideas?
@thorskin94 make sure that when you finish the first 180, that your hands dont get any closer to your board and then look where you want to go and your board will follow. watch the loaded one with kyle chin, he explains this well.
@magikalramseatjello I was only suggesting that if you ride crazy loose trucks, they would be hard to handle so you MIGHT want to tighten them a bit. I know my trucks aren't mad loose and certainly not mad tight. Again, this is a tricktip on learning them. its your job to go out and skate and change things a round untill you can do it the best that YOU can. Skateboarding is 99% preference but I'm just trying to put you in the right direction.
@magikalramseatjello how is the way i do it illogical, I get it done how I think is best and make a video to share my tips. And yes, the trick is labeled correctly in the video, watch the loaded one.
@magikalramseatjello I didn't say you need anything. THis is how I learned it though, and dont you watch trick tips to see what works best for other people? Obviously now that I know how to do it and I know you can to we can do it slow with any setup. I'm just giving out some words of advise that helped me. oh, and pendy is short for pendulum, check title
I can do the 180s and switch 180's, but i'm struggling with my Pendy's. I'm having trouble bringing the board back to regular and ending the slide. Any tips?
@SSL0ngboarding Make sure your watching where you want to go, dont stare up the hill the whole time. watch the loaded video too. Kyle Chin explains this pretty well.
@iKiLLeDPluTo Same technique though. Check out my other videos, I do it 180 and back. When i say fast, i just mean u can't do it flat ground like stand ups or other 180s.
@shaggyhead97 Yeah I prefer loose trucks, but it is pretty obvious that you can slide easier with looser trucks than tighter. Anyone who's boarded a lot would know that and it's simple physics.
@ZAAPPZ who cares about being able to get into a slide easier. I think everyone here knows how to slide buddy. Loose trucks often mean quick 180s. Tight trucks drift with more control more predictably. Unless you just want to learn how to slide and do 180s, then tighten your trucks and learn some more advanced stuff.
@shaggyhead97 Everyone cares about getting into the slide easier, because it makes for a better slide. and how fast a 180 is, is controlled by how hard you push with your leg. tight trucks dont drift and more control than lose ones, its all the riders skill in a drift. and im not sure everyone here does know how to do this slide, or why would they watch it?
I guess what im trying to get at is RIDE LOSE TRUCKS.
until your going over 25-30 you shouldnt even need to think about tightening them
@MrJakethepillowsnake i've been able to slide for a while now. I dont care about what ever is easiest to get into a slide. i own another board with 50* plates and double cones and have ridden many other setups. I've ridden both. IMO, drifting is better with tighter trucks. 180s at low speeds are easy to do with loose trucks IMO. You can't get someone else to ride loose trucks because for you, its the easier option. I made this trick tip for people who want to make their slides more technical.
@MrJakethepillowsnake its a suggestion based on one way to learn the trick. also, dont think my trucks are maaad tight. I ride em turny, just not wobbley. I've got 78a double cones on 45*. im not saying one way is better, each have their purposes.
LOL tight trucks kill. loose trucks save lives and also improves ur balance and strengthens ur ankles. nice side note on always wearing a helmet :) safety first broski
@MrJakethepillowsnake my point was you need a lot of speed, so if you tighten your trucks you wont's get speed wobbles and then you can feel stable. Loose trucks might throw you off. But you right, they are good for standies and other 180 but at lower speeds.
@shaggyhead97 You dont really need much speed for a pendy. Plus with loser trucks if you do get wobbles, theyre smaller and easier to handle than when your riding tight trucks.
@monkieboi88 If I could i would, but since i don't have any risers and 42 *, theres noway i can take the kingpin out when the thread are on top. I've done this before though with risers on my old comet and my cousins slalom board but thanks for the advise.
@shaggyhead97 dude to flip your kingpin all you do is take off the bushings and hangar, take out the king pin and put the threaded side through the hole first and have the threaded part not going through your baseplate. then put your bushings and hangar back on and use the nut that was on the baseplate tightened down on the threaded part. Its not hard at all
@xoxbamfan It's great, what do you want to do with it. check out my review on it, and subscribe if u can, I'm like the only person on youtube with an isis.
@shaggyhead97 yeah i wanna do some bombing like average 30+ mph and its gunna be my freeride board how is fre riding on it? the board seems like it would be big enough but idk! haha lemme know thanks!!
@xoxbamfan its great for freeride. Depending on how big you are, there is a bigger version that may be better if your bigger cuz this might feel a little small, but for freeriding, you want that kind of leverage.
do you still have that rayne isis??? if you do would you be willing to like trade with a madrid market price?
