Nice hunt. I love the way it sneaks up behind the cricket. A perfect ambush. My Tarantulas go crazy at the very site of a cricket. My brazilian black can take out 4 crickets in 1 sitting

The cricket sees the tarantula as a very big object, so it thinks it is a rock or something (the tarantula is well camoflagued). Notice that the tarantula is also moving very slowly, and only at the end makes its fast move. Btw the cricket is a noob xD

my tarantula always spends time spinning webs on the floor, im pretty sure they help him feel the vibrations better, because they cant see very well

yeah, its a nice tank, and the styrofoam back makes it look nice, and allows the tarantula to climb with ease

it used to be organic bark chips with soil mixed in, but ive changed it to coconut fibre as you can see in tarantula hunting 3

the cocnut is very good for terrestrial and burrowing speacies, it holds moisture very well, thus holdong the burrow together

u need to raise the soil level in that tankcloser to the ceiling, like i had2 coz if he or she goes into a climbing frenzy and falls,  ur looking at a dying spider

Looks Kinda Female But yeah check a molt, if there is a mating flap on the dangly bit of the molt, then it's female. :D
