To save the animals we have to manage the rate of human reproduction, so that advances in space and resource management aren't caught constantly trying to catch up with the 'human problem.' Good news everyone. I did en estmation of the tiger population. back in 2007 the tiger population in the wild was down 1,600. But with 4 years of trying to save that animal we got the wild population up to 2,500. That means if we keep doing this in the next 20 years the population could get up to 14,000

What I don't get, is that the Minosota zoo has released Red Wolf pups into the wild, but we can't figure out how to do the same with tigers? I watched this one show where a guy realised two captive tigers that are still alive today. Where is he?
@AKArainkit Great question! In India they are trying to re locate some wild tigers to help boost numbers in other parks. To put a captive born tiger out in the wild would be very hard. It might learn to kill for its food, but to know all the wild tiger things (territory, how to relate to other tigers, fear of humans) is something VERY hard to do. Right now they are working on relocating lynx, as well as they might be releasing captive born amur leopards, and this would serve a a good study.

THere are accredited breeding programs run through the AZA (remember most tigers and tiger cubs you see ARE NOT in these programs, so be cafeful who you support, so that you are supporting the right conservation efforts), but anyways, they do breed well in captivity. But the problem is that a captive tiger born in a zoo can't be released into the wild, it doesn't know how to urvivie. The main point is how to protect the ones out in the wild.

Wild tigers should be left in the wild, that is where they are needed. Tigers in zoos come from breeding programs from tigers that were brought from the wild many years ago. While there are many factors why tigers & lions will go extinct in 100-200 years, humans exponential population growth in the last 150 years is the main culprit. When man has taken 90% or more of the best & most fertile lands in the world for himself, tigers & lions can't survive, as these giant carnivores need, even only a few of them, 100s-1,000s of sq.miles with the most lush vegetation to sustain large & diverse groups of herbivores, large and small.
It would be nice to capture some wild Siberian tiger and introduce them into the wild in the far northern part of Alaska and Canada that are not populated by people so that they can regain their population, and be protected.

Americans are responsible of killing the sub species of this magnificent animals. The Bengal tiger thorough breed is lost and so is the Siberian sub species. Poaching is only one of the top 3 or so problems facing all large animals that need 10s of 1,000s of square miles to thrive. Man taking over their habitat is likely the biggest problem. Wild animal populations are limited by only two major factors: (1) open space and (2) plants/grasses. Man, 7B strong (with Americans & Europeans demanding the MOST RAW resources, on a PER CAPITA BASIS, to fuel their opulant lifestyles), shortcircuit that flow of natural cycle.

When man has taken 90% or more of the best & most fertile lands in the world for himself, tigers & lions can't survive, as these giant carnivores need, even only a few of them, 100s-1,000s of sq.miles with the most lush vegetation to sustain large & diverse groups of herbivores, large and small.

It would be nice to capture some wild Siberian tiger and introduce them into the wild in the far northern part of Alaska and Canada that are not populated by people so that they can regain their population, and be protected.

Please view Tony the truck stop tiger video posted by Big Cat Rescue. This poor tiger has been living in a filthy cage for 10 years now, exposed to truck fumes and noise. The truck stop is located in Baton Rouge and is owned by Michael Sandlin. Several animal welfare groups have attempted to rescue Tony but Sandlin won't give him up. Americans are responsible of killing the sub species of this magnificent animals. The Bengal tiger thorough breed is lost and so is the Siberian sub species. Today, in all of Florida u have a mixed genetic pool. One might ask so what? It means the genetic pool is adulterated resulting in a inferior species which are more likely to die soon. Best way to save a tiger is pressure countries like India, Nepal, Bangladesh, Cambadia, Burma China to establish reserves and let the tiger in the wild.

Poaching is only one of the top 3 or so problems facing all large animals that need 10s of 1,000s of square miles to thrive. Man taking over their habitat is likely the biggest problem. Wild animal populations are limited by only two major factors: (1) open space and (2) plants/grasses. Man, 7B strong (with Americans & Europeans demanding the MOST RAW resources, on a PER CAPITA BASIS, to fuel their opulant lifestyles), shortcircuit that flow of natural cycle.
