Guy, it's a 3d level where you move on a 2-d plane, hell, Shadow Complex on the XBLA accomplished that quite well, and it by no means indicates a drop in quality, just different play styles. It's won't be like the last Assassin's Creed for Ipod, but then, that was a DS port that wasn't exactly a carbon copy of the original Xbox title.

Looks like the control system is much more usable than the one they had on the DS port of the previous AC game. Dont mind the art style either, does exactly what it needs to without stuffing around. Probably lowers the stupendous download size as well.

That's what I thought. I often game on my iPod, and some games like Super Monkey Ball are good because of the accelerometer etc, but for games like this with a virtual joystick and virtual buttons, the lack of feedback is HORRENDOUS

It's a shame, because the iPhone/iPod touch can deliver much better graphics than Nintendo's console. But, instead of building a title from the ground up for it (or, at least, trying to port the PSP version), they're giving us low poly count, washed up textures and a side scroller...

Yes, I know this is an iPhone game. I have seen good ports of games on the iPhone (spore, Civilization revolution) etc. This however doesn't do a very good job of staying to the assassins creed formula. looks more like Mario with swords to me.

Well this game is 2d platformer,and if you think a little,you will see many many similarities,like the stunt's,the assassinations,the combat.This game look much more like assassin's creed than the first one from gameloft.Look some of the ac2's videos and you will see that this game is almost the same think,but in two dimensions.
