  • No way water would have fill to top of basket do that may jeans and washer would do the Chs cha cha's!

  • I have a GE model similar to this, the spin cycle is awful. The drum bangs against the sides and almost tipped over once. Now when I do laundry I have to babysit the damn thing to make sure a sock dosent throw the load off balance.

  • agree GE filter flo washers were the best.... and they could wash LARGE loads

  • i condemn more of these pieces of shit than i fix. because of overpriced electronic issues. and they clean the clothes really poorly.

  • I agree with the information GE give in this video. We have all front loaders in the UK and they are crap! I like my french top loader, but would love one of these machines.

  • This a American Top Load washer. Why isn't it available for the European market?

  • How can she stand there and propagandize this washer? It's one of the worst rated HE top load washers ever. And people are stupid enough to believe it. Now the front loaders have their problems too, but they work, but this thing you see pictured here deserves lawsuits.

  • Hey u want to do 17 blue jeans go to laundry mat......lol

  • I may get but i not wash all 17 blue jeans i may do 8 in there n 8 later......but man i afraid i do it the way i work with the sears kenmore elite

  • 1:46 biohazard symbol!

  • @stuolly Clearly you have never owned a Whirlpool direct drive.

  • 17 pairs of jeans? WTF. We all know that that is like.........NOOOOOOOOOOOOO

  • @madlyderanged You win again!

  • @Sharkie626 Of course the machine can 'HOLD'' 17 pair of jeans, after all, the tub is large...but can it 'WASH' 17 pairs of jeans is the stunning question...(probably just the two pair soaking atop the infuser-joke-thingy at the bottom.

  • @madlyderanged What's interesting is I think I am seeing less of these machines around, if that's true, it's very unsurprising.

  • @Sharkie626 The mere fact that this thing hardly fills with water...that alone will tell you that it cannot wash 17 pairs of jeans; not even in your dreams. I've seen so many clips of these online and the question is always, "where is the water?" The last time I checked, one of the major components for cleaning laundry is water.

  • @madlyderanged Excellent point! They are trying to eliminate the most major ingredient for cleaning clothes, and that's water. You can't have clean laundry without water. I guess the future of getting laundry clean is that we'll just start spitting on our clothes and scrubbing them with a toothbrush. That'll be the year 2020's "High Efficiency" excuse.

Either that, or we'll all just start walking around with skidmarks in our underwear. I know how you feel, this H.E. stuff blows my mind.

  • No HE washer, front loading or top loading will ever wash clothes as good as a conventional washer with an agitator. I have had all 3 types. My old ones worked best. I did however take my new Samsung front loader apart and made some adjustments so that it will fully submerge my clothes. So in a few more weeks I will be able to confirm weather this new modified front loader is better or not. So far it is looking promising with the adjustments. It actually cleans the clothes in one cycle

  • @TonyStone31 , you should tell people on here how you adjusted it.

  • she sounds gross

  • all, actually, it is just as efficient as a front loader and..... much easier to use plus cheaper in price.. load and unload. I know. I just bought a top-load H.E. top loader Whirlpool.

  • @gemini80204 @gemini80204 actually, it is just as efficient as a front loader and..... much easier to use . load and unload. I know. I just bought a top-load H.E. top loader Whirlpool.

  • @gemini80204 Lose the caps.

  • Give me a break. This washer amongst the new fangled machines is probably the worst

  • @SpazChat You are right. I owned this washer for a few months and ended up buying a new Samsung HE front loader which is just as shitty. I modified the new Samsung though a few nights ago to actually fully submerge the clothes and now it seems like it is cleaning as good if not better then a real commercial front loader. People... stop accepting all this water saving non sense. These HE machines run cycles up to 3 times longer than conventional washers and usually use more electricity.

  • I have this washer and there is no way it can handle more than just a few pairs of jeans. I put three pairs in once and the motor sounded like it was under strain.

  • It should be called a clothes dirtier! "HE" crap!!!!

  • Some people like to talk smack. They spout without ANY knowledge. Fact is the new HE washers, both front and top loaders clean better and use less washer than traditional top loader with agitator.

  • This is all a lie. The capacity should never based on jeans or towel capacity. The machine compromises cleaning with hardly any water. Regular, full-fill agitators will wash cleaner with gentler agitation and not overloaded! Rinsing is a shower, not fill, and not lint-removing.

  • @gemini80204 I agree with you, there. Bring back the classic filter-flo GE washers, nothing else will ever beat the classic models of the 70s and 80s.

  • @MrEcm51 @gemini80204 @gemini80204 actually, it is just as efficient as a front loader and..... much easier to use . load and unload. I know. I just bought a top-load H.E. top loader Whirlpool.

  • If you want beautiful new washing machine, bring out a brand new classic filter-flo model like was built in the 1970s and 80s. Those were the best washing machines in my opinion and to me, there never will be another style of washer that will be better than the filter-flo washers.

    Bring back the filter-flo models.

  • I can't imagine that this washer should be better than frontloaders...

  • @CossacksChampion They aren't, but they're somewhat more water-efficient thanb agitator-post top loaders. Even though the technology has been around for at LEAST 50 years, for whatever reason, the 27"/30 cm wide pulsator-plate type washing machines break down a lot.

  • @shmuli9

So would you say from those 2 mention toploaders, the ones with a agitator are better than those with a pulsator-plate?

  • @CossacksChampion I think OLDER top loaders were much better at cleaning than these"hybrid top loaders" or standard top-loaders that make "hot", something more like"warm", and"warm" something morelike cold.

  • @shmuli9

better in the meaning of cleaning-efficiency, water-usage , etc...

  • @CossacksChampion Better in terms of efficiency AND the handling of certain kinds of loads. (Agitator post machines tend to rip up - or at least leave the "clean products unusable - things like comforters and pillows.) As far as cleaning ability goes, BOTH older top-loaders AND front-loaders do a very good job...

  • Great washer. With all the advantages of a front loader... Would the manufactuing cost be less if the lid & top were made of plastic instead of metal? As a consumer It would be nice to have a Top loader that does not drip rust on the clothes when the lid starts rusting. So for now I'll stick with my front loader.

  • I think this is the 1st time I ever seen a video about a washing machine on youtube! lol
