Who came up with the infamous Nike "swoosh" logo? It was actually designed by a female Portland State University student who ended up winning a $35 prize from Nike in a design contest. Yes, you read that right. A lousy $35. However, after Nike became successful they decided to give her some Nike stock and a gold ring with the "swoosh" on it.
