Chlorinated and treated fresh water has a different viscosity than salt water does. That would account for the unbalanced look of these surfers. Salt water is much more viscous than fresh water, therefore the boards fins slice through fresh water faster. I'm sure these surfers didn't anticipate such a dramatic change as most surfers don't. I'm positive any surfer would have the same style because they aren't use to the less dense and viscous fresh water. For all those who say they suck.
