Its really a cultural issue. We think it is our right to have sex with many partners and of course it is, but just because you can do something doesn't mean you should. If we as a culture would stop being so irresponsible then this wouldn't be an issue, and don't even bring up the rape thing.

And many countries with the same sexual activity rates as Americans still have much lower abortion rates. In the Netherlands, abortion is free and people are less religious but teens there have 1/9th the teen pregnancy and abortion rate that Americans do.

An abortion should be up to the woman who has to carry the child and the father of the child. IMHO its really up to the woman. After all she is the one who is going through the actual pregnancy. Roughly 1.21 million abortions occur each year. You can do the math up to the present. What your saying is,if it's not 60 million then it's not genocide. @bnewton81 You don't have to have sex with "many partners" to have an abortion. You can be in a monogamous relationship and married and still feel the need one. Married women get abortions all the time.
And many countries with the same sexual activity rates as Americans still have much lower abortion rates. In the Netherlands, abortion is free and people are less religious but teens there have 1/9th the teen pregnancy and abortion rate that Americans do.

@AnastasiaLUVSU Slavery was horrible, and it use to be legal. That proves that not all laws are "right." Being pro-life doesn't mean you should adopt every child. Are you against rape? Do you donate all of your time and money to helping rape victims??? No, I assume not, Just because you are for a cause, does not mean you have to give EVERYTHING to that cause. Also, the chances of an infant not being adopted are slim to none. I posted links to prove that.

@dragonpat666 If this researcher is correct, it means that it is painful to the fetus and torture. Whether a fetus can feel pain or not, is irrelevant to me. Abortion is KILLING and INNOCENT HUMAN LIFE. It's sad that we have people that think like you do.
