I just saw it last night and it was incredibly good.

People forget that this musical is NOT about the acting (which was ok), NOT about the story (which was pretty decent), it's about the music and the spectacle, which were amazing and blew everybody away. Turn Off the Dark 2.0 is HIGHLY recommended!

@mhazani Are you high? When you take on an adaptation of anything it's meant to be an ADAPTATION. In this case, it's meant to be about portraying spiderman faithfully. It's only there for the acting and story. If you're not going to adapt something faithfully, you're only trying to cash in on it's namesake to make a quick buck and half assing everything. Turn off the Dark is what happens when people stop caring enough. Fact that you say reenacting spiderman isn't about acting or story proves it.

Saw Turn Off the Dark 2 weeks ago and it was really really really really bad! HOWEVER! The sets were amazing and the acrobatics were amazing, the actors were really good, but they were not given good material to work with. This was Bono and the Edge's worst work ever and the store starts out like the movie and then gets weird. The thought of ever seeing it again makes me shudder. I sat and watched it all, but a lot of people from around where we were left at intermission.

imo, the Spider Man costume looks better than the one in the movies. Only because it looks like something a teenage boy would make with his Aunt's sewing machine in his bedroom which is how Peter Parker made the costume in the comics.

As a respectable geek for some years now, I think I'm duty bound to go see this even if it were to turn out horrible. I'm pretty sure it's in the Geneva Convention or something.

@shootthekitty This is also helped by the fact that Reeve Carney (who plays Peter/Spidey) is a very talented musician. His band (aptly named Carney) put out their first album earlier this year, and it is AWESOME.

@shootthekitty That would make more sense than what they really did. I haven't seen it yet (I wanna let them work the kinks out of the previews first), but from what I understand Swiss Miss (who is actually a man) does something involving blades. So, like, a Swiss cheese joke, basically?

But, new commercials that they play on the subway shows Carnage and what looks like Kraven the Hunter, so there's a plus!

@xanafanadu Honestly? This is the second time I've seen a comment of yours on one of these videos. It didn't suck, its just needs improvement. And the music didn't suck either, it was just forgettable. Sucks would mean you just would never want to hear it again and it hurt to listen to. Maybe that's how you feel, but honestly, you have to give them some credit, you can tell they have worked hard so stop telling people it was awful, because it wasn't.
