  • The HDMI in a netbook with good battery life is going to be my next purchase. That way, I can hook my netbook up to my surround system and 120" projector to listen to music while browse the internet and do college papers.

  • HD GREEN BAR ON HD videos i sent mine back everyone having that issue with the greenbar and washed out hd

  • We can't compare this netbook with apple's but is well priced and once pros and cons weighed up I defenitively get this one. It fully fits my requirements as browsing internet, chatting, emailing... and under 500€

  • how's the touchpad on this?

  • @mtazc The touchpad itself is fairly large. 2 finger scrolling isn't so great, not as fluid as Apple's Macbook/Macbook Pros.

  • Reviews I've read are totally conflicting on this Eee - some say the keyboard is mushy/extremely flexy, others say (or show) it to be really solid. Also the inclusion of USB3 seems to differ depending on the model/location.

I wish I could find one in a store somewhere so I could see for myself -_-

  • @SlagarNZ There is flexing on the keyboard. The keys are plastic, but they have a texture feel to them. Typing on it is fine. It does feel cheap in a way, but I'm switching from a Macbook Pro.

  • this thing is HOT, i own a 900ha current. i really hope to get one of these in the future

  • the system rating isint right.

I have a Ati 4225 (384mb) on the Acer Aspire One 721 and its rated 4.9

how can the Ion 512 mb be rated at 3.7 ???

even my AMD k125 is rated at 3.7...its a single core. this is a Dual 1.8 ghz and its at 3.3 ... weird...

  • @TehPcKid The ATi 4225 is a higher performance card. Just because it less memory doesn't make it slower...

The Dual Atoms are low voltage processors and aren't meant for intensive applications. Just simple multi-tasking.

  • @MinimeDrummerBoi well...stillll this is the most powerful netbook on the market (from my knowlege).. im sure it can fairly support some games on medium settings (the 1201 N played properly..this one is improved) ..meh.

  • Just out of curiosity: Will this dual-core netbook play a game that requires around 2ghz single-core? I'm no PC wizz (more like an amateur) and I know it doesn't mean it's as fast as a 2.2ghz processor, but I'm just wondering.

Hell, my 1ghz Pentium 3 is able to play, like, ten year old games :-D

  • I hope to buy it in the netherlands next month

  • looks good

  • Do you think I will lose guarantee If I replace hard drive? I want to put 750GB or 640GB at least. I suppose it should work with such a "big" hard drive. Am I right?

  • i want this....

  • Thumbs up if you have pre-ordered the 1215N!

  • @teemuruskeepaa I have also preordered it! I wonder if it can run CoD modern warfare 2 and league of legends...

  • @powerfull499 I think they will indeed launch but will be at the minimum, yet the frame rate shall be good 5 - 15 t least in the less demanding rendering

  • if this plays sc2 then this is an awesome laptop!

  • when does it come out in canada, anyone know?

  • which is better the ASUS Eee PC 1215N vs ASUS Eee PC 1201PN? and when does the 1215N come out in Canada?

  • @venomousbroly

1215 is wayyyy better. Better cpu, better battery (1215 7 hours, vs 1201 6 hours). I also read that 1201 wont have optimus, only ion2. And i see someone mentioned that it will be under 500$, thats crazy, I WANT ONE.

  • hits the U.S on august 23.

    no idea about other countries.

  • This is the laptop I want!!! And i love that it comes in two choices of red!

I just wonder when it comes out?

  • But I don't want a hard drive, i want an SSD!! Damm you, ASUS, give us the option to replace the hard drive!

  • @FuckYouLetMeLogIn

Totally agree, I want this but what a fag to replace with SSD, what are ASUS thinking

  • It's BEAUTIFUL! Definitely picking this one up.

  • and the million Dollar question is: DDR2 or DDR3 RAM??

  • @TheHondaTuner its DDR3 ram and it will come with 2 USB 3.0, and 1 USB 2.0

  • ASUS will most likely release this to the U.S. around Q4 before christmas holiday rush or the thanksgiving black friday garbage run

  • Asus умеет делать хорошие нетбуки :)

Быстрей бы он вышел так охота поюзать

  • Telling consumers to wait for half a year after it was suppose to be a month is asking a lot.

  • @oathkpr then again, they're making the best netbook yet, so maybe I shouldn't complain so much. Although it will be tough for univ. students looking for a good netbook before August.

  • How sharp is the resolution to the size of the screen? Meaning the 'dot pitch' or whatever they call it, are the pixels big and grainy or are they sharp and high definition? That was my gripe about Lenovo S10 netbooks, 1024x600 looked horrid on a 10 inch screen.

This only supports 2gb of ram, still?

  • when can I purchase this ? I need one ASAP. I would get the 1201N but the battery life sucks. I would get the 1201PN but the CPU sucks.

Or should I go for 1201n? battery life sucks ^_^ but I need a powerful netbook until the end of August :-/ Any alternative? damn.. :-( I already googled everything the 1201pn isnt that great -.-

  • @god4488 Dude.. if I was you.. I would wait.. Better Trackpad.. Switching GPUs.. USB 3.0 .. Better Processor.. bdw.. processor speed is 1.8ghz .. and about 8 hrs Battery Life.. Its an Awsome Netbook Worth Waiting For ;) .. Im waiting for it.. And I am thinking it would be Released Before September.

  • @lelixd I hope ASUS will release it earlier ^_^ I'm waiting too then. I already saw the Design @ a PC shop. But as 10inch version. The new seashell is really nice. I also like the privacy switcher.

  • @lelixd yeah...good things come to those who wait...imma start savin up for this baby... ive been planning on replacing my 1000he for some time now
