thats because bodyboard needs a rounder wave and rounder waves are smaller in surf you can ride a wave almost has vertical has a wall in bodyboard you need a rounder wave because in the position that you are the wave needs to put more power to the board to push it. and rounde waves are much more cooler to ride because you can do more stuf but you realy need a round wave to bodyboard.
