I was on my lvl 24 shaman alt in stranglethorn vale questing and I just killed a random raptor and this companion dropped.

I was like "wtf? a epic companion?!?"

@leafgreen21 :- What is lootfilter? is it an addon that deletes specific items? if so then that will be no use as you want to keep all your cloth and you get mainly white items from drops. and you will want to vendor your items anyways for more income whilst you do this.

I think i'm going to try doing this on my priest - levitate would rid of the need for potions and i can still run around and dot every mob like the vid shows.

not a bad video, but you forgot a couple important tips.

tip 1: Use water walk pots to get between ships/shore faster..big time saver.

tip 2: Get a cheap pair of secondary boots with speed enchant. this may not seem like much, but extra speed results in faster clears and therefore more kills and better loot chances.
