  • It don't get no better than this!

  • it's weird how fitting it is that the Jonestown tape has this on it

  • i love this song.....

  • Again I ask, why can't they make real soul music like this today, with great songs, great singers and great drummers; instead of that whiny crap that's being marketed as "R&B" today, with no tunes, subpar vocalists and that obnoxiously innocuous artificial handclap!? Again, Thom Bell, where are you now that we need you!?

  • for those two people who dont like this have no life in music !

  • PLAY THE DELPHONICS WHEN UR DOWN,PLAY EM WHEN UR IN LOVE AND PLAY EM TO REMEMBER REAL MUSIC SPEAKS VOLUMES TO THE SLIGHTEST OF SOULS

  • wow!! cant comment on this song..what else is there to say

  • forget what they say baby im sorry

  • im sorry baby forget whaht they say

  • this song was the song playing in jonestown during the group suicide it was slowed down to half speed... creepy

  • @bond3737

It was actually magnetic bleed through.. Q-042 was recorded on a recycled cassette, like many of the Peoples Temple recordings. "I'm Sorry" was previously recorded at a higher speed on the cassette before being recorded over at a lower IPS by the Q-042 recordings.

  • Victims of the Jonestown Massacre, rest in peace.

  • @NationalEXE whats up with that comment why would you put that comment on this video

  • @trevanismith Apparently, During the final speech made by Jim Jones just before the incident he was playing a slowed down version of this song. Hope that helps

  • Love this.

  • Philly Soul, nobody did it better than the Delphonics......u guys rock!

  • hate to tell you this but this song was recorded on a tape by Rev. Jim Jones, but the SAME Jim Jones is not the RAPPER, but the 1970's Peoples Temple leader, who soon took his flock to Gyuana, Africa, founded JONESTOWN, and over 900 people comitted mass suicide on November 18, 1978, and the whole mass suicide was recorded on a tape which had bad heads, and a ghost recording of this song can be heard at the 'end' of the tape at a very slow speed! Serious about this!!!

  • @TEMPmichaelhansen

I was actually looking for this on you tube for that reason. To listen to the regular version and see what I could pick up from the tape recording.

I guess this could sound very sad and almost morbid when slowed down. Almost like funeral precession music. Which is fitting in some way for what that tape was about and the event that was recorded over it.

  • @mustangstevegt

well...here is something. This has been said that there was music playing during the suicide. there was a lot of technical difficulties on the recording, but after jim jones makes his last statement, he moans 2 times. in the second moan you can hear the machine being shut off...the rest of the tape is what was on the tape originally at a slow speed, but the other ones who analyze the tape miss this for years and years and years and...

  • true meaning... apologetic song..luv it

  • Great tune, marvelous soul music !

  • Oldie but goodie
