I can't believe how many people know NOTHING of what they write about. The gun's a 6-shot Smith & Wesson Model 29 .44 Magnum. 6 shots are fired in the sequence:

Shot 1 wounds the shotgun wielding suspect in the purple shirt.

Shot 2 is fired at the badguy jumping through the car's window.

Shots 3, 4 and 5 are fired at the car, with shots 4 and 5 going through the windshield.

Shot 6 takes out the guy who just jumped out of the car and sends him through the store window.

Great scene.

The hammer was already on a spent shell when it fired. When the hammer hits a shell it doesn't spin right after that. It spins the next time you pull the trigger, or the hammer back.

That gun might only have a 5 round camber due to the size of the bullets.
