it's a sweet set up, and I'm not sure what you spent on the build, but I have a B18c with bolt ons and a tune that made 185whp and 132tq. You probably would have been better off with DOHC. I love the SOHCs, but the twin cammers end up making more power. I plan on doing the OBX ITBs, and a Bisimoto header when I get home from deployment and then getting a re-tune. I love seeing what the single cams can do, and Bisi is a genius with them for sure!

Nice, really like your setup except for the big wheels just my .02. I have Level 2 Cam, Bisi Header and Y8 intake on d15b2 mini-me make close to 148WHP. Cost me maybe 1500-1800 for everything including rings, gaskets etc but like you said satisfaction of having your own vision for car plus walking B16-18's all day with SOHC is priceless.

how are you able to run such a high C/R on only 93 octane fuel and not have it detonate? I'm running 11.8:1 C/R on 98 RON fuel and it still gets shitty on a warm day :/
@Legotruck82 as mentioned, tuning...certain manipulations of the CC...and of course, your dynamic compression is different than static. i used to run 12.3:1 on 93 in my sohc vtec, but had a crower 3. my dynamic compression wasn't the same as someone with a lesser cam and 12.3:1 static.

Extract power from a tiny D single cam means a real effort (I mean, a wallet effort too! ).
But achieve acceptable levels in terms of power among the B series engines with a SOHC is priceless!

I have a d15b7 - bisimoto cam / valve springs / titanium retainers.
installed 1989 Honda Accord Dx Throttle Carb on stock intake
KN cold air intake on the carb manifold. Rebuilt engine. replaced stock gear internals with Daiken / Enkie 4disc / clutch plates 4full gear work
0 - 170km/h 1st to 2nd & then 3rd gear. Speed limit while shifting to 4th / fifth is slow.
Which block has more hieght deck in comparison 2bore length
is it d14a2 or d16z6? if i consider 2replace the d15b7 block only?

@dddominusss its nice and all...but all that money into parts when you could have just built somthing better with way more possibilties... h22 would have been nice..just my 2 cents. sounds fantastic tho. still a single cam tho. think my wifes stock denali would smoke you...just sayin

am in between whether i should boost or not!!!i had a d15 boost with 16g set up before am looking 4 a 7sec sohc in 1/8 so dont know may have to goo boost!!
