  • still makes me cry after all these years...

  • Valor.....................Valor...............................A Knight is sworn to VALOR!!!!

A Knight is sworn to Valor

    His heart knows only VIRTUE

    His blade defends the HELPLESS

    His might upholds the WEAK

    His words speak ONLY truth

    His wrath UNDOES THE WICKED!

  • How can you not like this scene?

Beautiful music, Randy Edelman is a living legend.

  • This shit... IT GIVES MY THE FUCKING SHIVERS YET!

    :'(

  • I hope for the hobbit that they make Smaug just as Cool as Draco, though Smaug doesn't exactly have Draco's kindness and wisdom - more of greed and pride. THAT being said, I still hope that Peter Jackson make Smaug look and act just as cool.

  • This movie actually got me into stargazing when I was a kid, so later eventually, into astronomy.

  • When the dragon constellation reappeared, the music hit that upswing, and Draco's star shone, I literally got so choked up that I couldn't breath for a few moments as I cried.......T_T

Thumbs if you had a similar reaction.

"Without Draco...without you...what do we do? Where do we turn?"

"To the starts, Bowen. To the stars..."

    BAWWWWWW!!!!! T_T

  • To the stars Bowen.....I lost it

  • I haven't even seen this movie and I cried.

  • This has got to be the saddest Sean Connery related moment of my childhood.

  • @bravo075 same here:) I was so close to bawling my eyes out at this scene when I was 7

  • @forerunner06 I'm 25 and I still cry at this scene.

  • @bravo075 yeah, it really is a sad ending. The only movie ending that makes me shed tears every time is the one in A.I. though.

  • @forerunner06 aaaah yes, A.I. the movie were you don't know whether to cry or laugh or just kill yourself at the end. Good ol Teddy...

  • Such an underrated movie...Acting eh, effects eh, story eh, purpose: YEAH

Can't think of many movies that embody the old ways of chivalry than this.

  • Goddamit after watching it a million times it still makes me cry!!

  • This is what happens when a Dove gives half of his soul to a Joor

  • Dargon's french version is sooo better !

  • This part always makes me cry D: whyyyyyyyy

  • lol there was another way they could have killed that damned dirtbag and spared draco. They could have just cut draco's heart out of Aiden by force and hopefully have put it back in draco. we all know aiden could not be killed on the outside, but they did not try on the inside!

  • @SsentaiX Or they coulda caught Aiden and locked him in a dungeon for the rest of his life. xD

  • The dragon has the voice of Sean Connery? Did sean voice the dragon?

  • @Justinian43 yes

  • @Justinian43 Oh Yesh

  • I love this movie and everytime i see this scene I always cry.

  • when people ask me what was my favorite movie when i was a kid, i always remember this scene and my reactions to it,the amount of tears i shed listening to this song and looking at the stars at night just to try and find the star of Draco :')) i can't believe that it's been 16 years ago...

  • Bravo I need all of you Seek me if you wish I'm very prolific huhnoname and Jeff White Hawk

  • T____T

  • its a good thing the Dragonborn wasn't around.

  • i cry ever time i see this shit reminds me of my brother when he died dam wtf good movie though i still love it

  • This movie made me more angry than sad >_< turned into a damned constellation in the sky, FUCK THAT!! I WANT MY DRAGON!

  • This movie resembles the Eragon in many ways. The author to Eragon must have been inspired from this film.

  • I love this movie ;_; this part always makes me tear up

  • I named my son Bowen because when i heard it in this movie years ago i thought it was very unique. and such a great movie!

  • i would be honored to be named after those stars/constellation.

  • I have loved this movie since it first came out.. and I am now 33 years old and this part still brings tears to my eyes... Draco will ALWAYS be the best Dragon in movie cinema history. LONG LIVE DRACO!! .... To the stars, Bowen... to the stars. :)

  • Jesus allegory.

  • where to look,..

  • the only movie that can draw more tear eyes than titanic

  • the music made the ending more epic like 80%

  • When i was a little boy I would always run to my room at the end cause I would cry as the dragon died. thought my mom never knew until a few days ago lol

  • first time i saw it in english, kind of dissapointed :( It's my favourite film too but i've seen it in spanish (from spain, not latino) and draco has a voice that makes it even sadder if possible...

  • They don't make good dragon movies like these anymore (except i guess how to train your dragon) This is one of the greatest dragon films

  • chuck norris looks to the stars

  • Can someone please post the whole movie? And the second one? Thank you:)

  • are you sure you want to watch the second one? its really bad

  • @GrimReaperKILLYOU Yes, it wouldn't ruin this one for me... This one is in my heart and always will be:) Thank you for your comment, take care:)

  • this music is so sad but its so nice :D

  • "to the stars Bowen, to the stars" is sooooo sad :'(

  • "And when things became most difficult, draco's star shone more brightly, for those of us who knew where to look." :C makes me cry

  • I've only ever cried in one movie and it was this when I was 10. 10 years later and I discovered it OnDemand and thought I'd watch it. Still the only movie to ever make me cry.

  • i used to watch this when it first came out. and honestly. i'm 19 now and this is still my favourite movie. I don't think there will ever be a dragon as perfectly animated as draco or perfectly voiced

  • i remember watching this. I still love it. ;)

  • I remember this movie as a kid. Rewatching again years later brings back memories.

  • @AmbitionsOfMan same here watched it recently on netflix haven seen it in about 15 yrs more or less... ggot a lil teary eyed at this point

  • Sean Connery.....without you......what do we do? Where do we turn? You're the only star.

  • The only scene in a movie to make me cry, swear to god

  • "To the stars Bowen, to the stars" commence tears... such a powerful scene. always gets me.

  • I always cry at this part :'( That heart beating in the end is so...... <'3

  • Grr I have seen this movie a million times and I still cry on this one part.. :'(

  • @tcorenfield me 2

  • im fucking mad.... i didnt even get a chance to see the whole fucking movie and this part makes me cry......

  • Comment removed

  • it is funny how they make Drakes face look like Sean Connerys lol

  • @BumbleBee19811 Dracos even

  • so beutiful yet so sad!

    :`()

  • Im a 140 kilo heavy weightlifter on roids. I sob like a fucking chick everytime that dragon tells Bowen to look at the stars.

  • that's how i wanna go. not sacrificing myself to save a kingdom from tyranny but burst into a bright vapor and become part of a constellation.

  • El momento más triste de mi infancia, personalmente...

  • I cry like a little girl every time I watch this movie. its funny really, people dying in movies have no effect on me, but animals and mythical creatures do it.

  • sobbed like a little girl- and im 30, best movie of its time!

  • alright, who sobbed? 'cause I did.

  • 2:40 now thats how you absorb a dragon soul in skyrim!

  • if you want to see draco look at the stars northern only i`m south:(

  • Epic , sad , wonderful .....

  • omg!! i remember this!

i used to watch it when i was super little!! :DD

  • :17

    Such a badass moment.

  • This movie and especielly this scene embossed me so much!

  • This is about one of the rare movies that can make me cry in half a second !!! FUCKING AWESOME FILM !!!! I saw it in theaters, had goosebumps and of course, it wasn't that easy to watch entirely because i truly love dragons and this movie is the best one with Eragon.

  • 3:40 I cried

  • Great movie, can't believe how old it is now! Epic scene! This film got me back into astronomy for a long time. Not so much anymore, these days I feel like I'm just grinding away the bone that once held my life, grinding it to dust!

  • was professor Lupin the bad guy?

  • 4:14 I like the way the star blinks (meaning that one is Draco's and I described it that's Draco winked at Bowen and it means "They're still friends.")

  • "the best actor in the world"

  • I'm honored to be born '96 this movie was made and its the best ever! I cry everytime! So beautiful <3

  • @sharen1996fly Me too =')

  • notice thsi story is a direct parallel to the story of Jesus Christ and the Cross he died on. Einon represents mankind's sins, and Draco represents the son of God. The only way to destroy mankind's evil is for the one who shared his soul with them to pay the ultimate sacrifice: himself. likewise the only way to truly destroy einon's evil was for the one who shares his heart with him to pay the ultimate sacrifice. one of my favorite films :D

  • When I Was A Little Kid I Would Watch This Movie Everyday I Always Love This Scene. ='')

  • To the stars!!!!! To the stars!!!!!! Space X, Boeing Aerospace, Virgin Galactic, and NASA!!!! To the stars!!!!!!

  • ball my eyes out every time

  • I watched this movie like every day even though i couldn't read properly or understand english ( Im Dutch ) and it was still awesome!

Seriously one of the best movies ever!

  • Ah the good old days, I was about 9 years old when I saw this the first time on VHS and thought this movie is awesome even though I couldn't understand english yet.

  • I cannot help but cry after watching this scene. Draco was the best!

  • " to the stars, bowen, to the stars."

  • I love that scene!!! It gives me chills and makes me cry everytime

  • watched it again...and man, I still cry. Draco had strange facial features, but I guess that's why I like him so much. :) I've never remembered loving any dragon with short snout EXCEPT for Draco.

  • Sweet jesus...the monk with the bow and arrow is the dad from Inception and the florist from The Town...and isn't the Prince who turned evil...isn't he Professor Lupin from Harry Potter?

  • @HatedSovietLion the monk is from Jurassic Park 2 but I don't about the Inception part

  • I have been seeing this since I was about 4 years old and I still love this movie because its a classic and that its just a great movie!

  • Beautiful truly , a movie made with heart and soul , nowadays you only see blood gore destruction and pure violations where are those works of art!

  • this is the best movie ever and the best part of the movie

  • 2:05 best moment.

  • Einon travelled in time, then made a youtube account just to dislike this!

  • Dude what do you meen kind of beautifull. Draco is a epically atractive dragon and wish he was my mate. cause i love dragons . and would to interact with one as a friend. and as a sexal partner. And for all the haters . thats going to coment on this coment . eat shit and die. Cause im a dragons lover . and animal lover too. High paws to the furries that comented on this channel.

  • great movie

  • When I first saw this movie, all I could think of Draco was: "A Jurassic Park dinosaur that breathes fire, has wings ,and is voiced by Sean Connery." I mention Jurassic Park b/c the live-appearing dinosaurs were a breakthrough in visual effects back in the 90's, and this movie kept me thinking that Draco is what dragons may have actually looked like if they truly existed back then.

  • Bad enough they killed the last dragon, but to kill the last dragon who has the voice of Sean Connery??? A POX UPON YOU!!

Really, though, while I did sniffle here and there through Titanic, I donwright bawl my heart out whenever I watched this scene.

  • @tuiledecire

    what the fuck?

shut up you don't understand anything from this movie !

  • @tuiledecire That "fag" wasn't a bad man until the climax of the story. How was the dragon supose to tell that?you know i wish you were here right now saying it to my face so I could bash you in your nose cunt.

  • @DragonsHome92

    Go fuck a dragon!

  • @tuiledecire i te occisurus est cimex

  • U_U

  • The music when Draco dies makes it way more depressing and sad. That heroic sense just makes the scene complete. Look to the stars :D

  • I cried...

  • The last dragon....Gone. :(

  • I cried

  • "to the stars bowen, to the stars"

    jag ryser som fan

  • The music was perfect for this movie it shows that rise to glory best movie / music ever

  • One person could not see the stars

  • This is one of my top ten tear jerkers. I don't understand why so many critics hated it.

  • This used to make me cry every single time I watched it.....oh, god. SO SAD.

  • Is there any chance you could put the whole movie in English? I wanna watch it so bad! I have the movie but it got scratched up somehow. I always put my cd's away when I'm done with them, I'm real picky about that so how it got that way I don't really know.

  • @Frostfire40

sorry i can't upload the whole movie,it's not allowed here on youtube..

  • @DragonsHome92 DAMN THEM! Why the hell are they so picky! Thanks anyways.

  • @DragonsHome92 the ending of this movie is so sad :'( LONG LIVE DRACO

  • i have both dragon heart and dragon heart a new beginning on one disc

  • analie skywind if u really look at the stars u don't only see the the real constallion draco but u can also see the one from the movie so i actually know where draco's star is

  • That woman is truly beautiful.

  • my god, everytime i see this scene, i cry and it gives me nightmares... so sad..

  • i love this movie but this seen always made me cry bye draco :'(

  • DragonHeart 2 is out, but I doubt it's as good if it's even good. :/ Movie sequels don't usually end up as good as the first ones... unless it's Ice Age! :D

  • The music definitely is necessary for this moment. I can listen to just the music (soundtrack) without watching the scene and I still get emotional. It wouldn't be quite the same without that wonderful theme, but it's still overpowering even without the music. An underrated epic movie.

  • I need to see this movie... I want to understand why draco wants to die...

  • @sadperkion The movie is worth it. It's not about Draco WANTING to die, though I won't spoil it for you. It's worth watching the movie and finding out for yourself (though this scene does somewhat explain the reason anyway).

  • i end up humming the tune to "to the stars" all the time.

Great movie great sound great actors great plot great DRACO!

  • this scene is very touching its what makes this movie a goddamn masterpiece

  • thumbs up if as a kid, you looked for that very star inthe night sky. I know I did.

  • @AnalieSkywind i kinda did as a kid...no wonder this was a good movie...still don't get why Einon all of a sudden turned evil and Bowen cared more for teh dragon then Einon

  • @princeofdarknessxyz1 it was implied that Einon was always evil and just hid it from Bowen to get what he wanted from him. In the end, Bowen came to understand what Einon really was and saw Draco as his true friend, which is why he cared more for Draco then Einon -plus Einon tried to kill him more than once

  • @pyschogambitable man storyline was really lame...but still a good movie...i like dragon movies

  • @pyschogambitable why didn't bowan just kill einon with teh ax instead of the dragon?

  • @princeofdarknessxyz1 because as long as Draco lived, so did Einon. When Draco gave Einon half his heart as a child, it's explained that it was Draco's "half" that kept them both alive.

  • @AnalieSkywind I still look for that star at night :)

  • @AnalieSkywind As a kid? I'm 19 and still do it. Every night.

  • I used to watch this all the time as a kid. I cried whrn the dragon died.

  • "To the stars Bowen, to the stars......." gets me everytime

  • To the shtars bowen.......to the shtars

    Sean Connery=Epic

  • I just keep watching this move, everytime i cry...

  • I'm only thirteen and I love this scene, it's a scene I would never forget even in my older years...

  • Oh my, I'm crying everytime I see this ending scene. I wish I knew a dragon or even better met one that is alive.... DRACO!!!!

  • Sniff sniff :(

  • God damn. They don't make movies like this anymore.

  • @disneylover797 i know right

  • I had this film in VHS when I was a kid and I never understood a single thing they said (i'm french), I watched it again recently, and finally got was the movie was about :D

  • STUPID FUCKIN ADS!!!!! HATE THEM SO MUCH!!!!

  • listen for when the wings stop flapping, then is the right time to start to cry

  • "To the stars, Bowen. To the stars." Not only was that EPIC like hell, but it always makes me so sad and happy at the same time. As a kid I loved this movie, and was a huge Draco fan. Dragonheart, Land Before Time, Spirit (i know theyre not in the same category), Randy Edelmann, Phil Collins, I mean what happened to Dreamworks and Disney? Why not such movies anymore? I will never forget this scene.

  • This is probably one of my favorite movies of all time. I'm such a huge fan of this movie that my son's middle name is "Draco."

  • Sean Connery, NOOOOO!

  • I always cry at this part.... :'(....
