It's amazing how many of these clips come from cartoons that happen to be packaged together on VHS releases, especially the "Stars of Space Jam: Bugs Bunny" release. (That is one of my most important YTP sources.)
Merrie Melodies was notable for being Warner Bros.' earliest attempt at syndicating what Warner Bros.' LT/MM shorts, based around this clip as early as 1972. Stations would be running this show well into the 1980s. The series mainly consisted of WB shorts that weren't owned by Associated Artists Productions, and those that hadn't been in CBS' Bugs Bunny/Road Runner Hour rotation.
"Merrie Melodies" mostly aired Warber Bros. cartoons from the 1960's up to the end of the Seven Arts era. They have been known to air pre-1960 cartoons ("Boobs in the Woods", "Bird Anonymous", etc.).
What's sad is that Teletoon DOESN'T have all the vintate Merrie Melodies prints from the 1970's-only a handful. I remember watching these on Global TV as a kid. One of the One-off cartoons that I loved that was part of the show that they haven't aired was "Rabbit Stew & Rabbits Too"- which was among the last of the original Warner Brothers shorts from the late 1960's-from MM ep 15. Teletoon does have ep. 16, which is frustrating. According to the info I have, there were 24 MM eps in all.
Teletoon Retro got packages from four or five varied Looney Tunes shows: The Road Runner Show, Bugs Bunny and Twety Show, The Porky Pig Show and Merrie Melodies consist of the 70's and 90's Merrie Melodies TV show.
(USA) DOES NOT show 95% of the classic cartoons of the 1950's-1980's (mostly Hanna-Barbera) such as Woody WOODPECKER, Casper,Fat Albert,Milton the Monster, Cool McCool, & many others too numberous to mention unlike Teletoon Retro! & they are "asking" viewers to "ask" for Boomerang for their cable/satellite system?? We should demand Boomerang to show more of the "Legend"{ INCLUDING THE LOONEY TOONS!!!!!(UNCENSORED & UNCUT!!)
Currently, right now, Cartoon Network, Boomerang does not show any BB cartoons, MM cartoons or LT cartoons. They were showing Devlin but it was like 5am in the morning and just stopped showing it. Now, they do show Scooby Doo, and just a few others.
Nowadays, Boomerang (the animated network which supposed to show classic animated programs from the Golden Years of Animation {1930's-1960's as well as the classic tv animation ((other than Hanna Barbera))from the 1950's-1970's}) now shows more modern cartoons from the last 10 years!
its at least 22 years since i last saw this!

It's a shame they don't have a Teletoon Retro outside Canada. That would be neat.

Sure makes me wish I had Teletoon Retro. Boomerang (USA) doesn't even show Looney Tunes anymore! And no, Baby Looney Tunes doesn't count.
