Everyone wants to bash Microsoft, but right now, how many of you are actually using Java? Im not talking about your OS, but Java itself. In windows and linux, the only time I use java, is if I want to go to pogo.com to play pop-it. By the way, Java is not only insecure, its one of the major backdoors into any system running it, and because its cross platform, that means accessing the OS directly with machine code, regardless of what OS it is.

I still liked the video though. :) Flame on!

This is a nice video, though I don't like that they used .net to compare with java. They are of completely different categories, one is better for internet applications, and the other has portability, IMO. Like the main character says, "aren't you supposed to choose based on your needs?"

I don't agree that java is the future. You can't sustain with just java. Imagine if all game developers stopped using C++. You'll have games with lousy graphics to accommodate those without graphic cards.

yes, this video would have made sense in the early days of .NET where it was still not that great and when Java was well maintained and updated by Sun.

but today things are quite different, .Net 3.5 and 4.0 are light years ahead of Java. and Java is poorly and lazily  updated by Oracle,
