That English translation is AWFUL. It looks like someone ran the Japanese lyrics through Google Translate and posted it. When you translate from one language to another you translate the meanings and usages, not each word individually.

For example: Bonjour means "hello" in French, but literally it's "good day."

i found a different subbed version where instead of spinning it was singing. she thought her friends could sing better than her, so she traveled around a bit singing and becoming more known, hence the reason why the distance always increases, and instead of hands can reach, is voice can reach. and then she feels as though it is not worth it and wants to be with her friends...i think. but that version actually makes more sense than spinning

The story is about a girl who tries he hardest, but her friends, younger or older, would always preform better then her. (spinning is used to fill in the blank of what her friends are better then her at) She tries harder and harder eventually becoming better then before, but when she looks up she still sees her friends are still at a higher level then her.

She wants to go away to a place where she won't be in her friend's shadows, but no matter where she goes, weather it be "moving around" or "flying", she can't get out of her friend's shadows. I think that the line from 2:27 - 2:40 would be better translated as "What would the younger me think, if she saw the way I am now. But I'm dizzy, and too tired to care anymore." and the line after that is her saying that because she was so busy trying to surpass her friends, she didn't notice how much
