The best country tone I've heard. An old Fender Tele, an old Fender Tremolux and compressor, reverb and overdrive pedals. That is it! Well, maybe the player's hands had something to do with that sound too..... Way too much to go wrong in the middle of a show with Brad's setup. Scary!!!!! Although Brad is an amazing player for sure....
@spicyMcHAGGIS9green It's not stupid. I'm also a very simple guy on my rig, but if i had the money that Brad has, and could have stuff for free, i would have a big rig too
@sugarcock1 it flooded a lot of places.I lost some of my gear and personal belongings in a storage building that of course got flooded.Knew I should have found room here.Never listen to a girl friend who says that stuff takes up to much room.LOL
Sweet amp. This was recorded using the Dr Z Stang Ray and 2x12 Blues in the cabinet and a G&L ASAT Special with soapbars: youtube.com/watch?v=FRGBatDGi8A
Great rig! But seems like alot of gear for Brad's tone being as simple as it is..... Clean with the perfect amount of grit/dirt for tough chickin pickin tone! It sure doesnt seem like he uses all them effects. I guess thats why he's so awesome
I need a battery back up. I've had exactly the same problem with lack of power on a gigs recently. It sounded as though the wah was kicked back and all of the lights on the amp were flashing like a Christmas tree. Spent £50 with techs trying to diagnose the problem which they couldn't. In the end I just phoned the factory in California and they diagnosed the problem over the phone. My advice is bypass your dealer/distributor and always speak to the factory first, it could save you time & money.
It baffles me that the BP debacle has been the #1 priority for the government for so long, but as far as I could tell, Nashville got about a week of news coverage and then was left to fend for itself:/ Similarly, I'm in West Michigan where we just had a significant oil spill, and the government seems to have blown us off... maybe b/c they know we're mostly conservatives and moderates over here, I don't know:P
@taylor410ce They should have done one for his rig back in 1997. You cant get a better tone the Trey Anastasios tone from 1997. That Ross is something else..
@fangus503 i guess its one of those situations where once its done once you would never have to do it again....untill you lose it all in a flood! but that is some exceptional gear
@tneri8 You can find at least one song from the Austin City Limits performance Paisley did here on YouTube. "The Nervous Breakdown" is the only one I've found from that show though.
