Japan is trying to paint these people as eco terrorists, but I kind of think the Japanese are the terrorists or poachers here. They've been repeatedly asked by the IWC to cease and desist- the Sea Shepherd is trying to stop poaching of whales, including pregnant mothers, lactating mothers (the calves will die without nutrition) and calves themselves- around 15000km from their own country. Average Japanese people aren't educated about this- but in my experience most are shocked by the facts.

As whales are valuable to Australia for tourism, it is understandable that we would like there to be more of them. If the majority of the worlds countries want to stop whaling, then it should stop, as they are a global creature. Finally, where is the compensation from Japan to other nations for the removal of whales, they belong to us too.
