Well I bought from ebay and craiglist, And had no problems remember tho nothing is free and don't send no money to anyone..stick to instinct, Deal in cash only don't take checks, money orders they may be fakes , Instinct usually is the best judge
I been selling alot on craigslist lately. And BOY, Am I getting TIRED of all the BS spam emails I get. With the FAKE. "Interested in your item" line!.
I STOPPED THIS BULLSHIT, by leaving OFF the email address.
Its STUPID that banks cash those fake checks and for them to take SO LONG to figure out its fake. WHAT'S UP WIT THAT. They should do something about their system. So it can check electronically or something if the check is OK or not.

o.m.g so i was ganna buy a van and the moneygram contacted me and told me that people were trying to take money out despretly.good thing is i made a mistake and put the wrong address and they couldnt take it out so i got all my money back thanx this helpt.a lil late but i know now..lol.thanx
I had never heard of Craigslist before but it seems just as full of scams as Gumtree. Avoid that one too! Ive never used it but I know of many who were scammed from listings on Gumtree. I was scammed on Oztion (similar to eBay) after buying something and they took my money but no item, dozens of items sold for thousands of dollars all up and nobody received anything. Live and learn I guess :)
also don't sell something that's very desirable on Craigslist, Like a "Fender Strat USA" Or anything that's over several hundred dollars, Besides the Scam E-mails, You may experience Several Thugs coming over to your House, To see the Item, Happened to me. But, I was Cautious and had one of my Buddies their that had a close resimblence to the Late "Gotti" They were nervous I knew they weren't going to buy anything. So, they left right away.
