this is awsome! i so want to to one of his preformances, the live version, the intruments, they sound very differnt conpaired to the studio recorded on friendly fire. still awsome!
awesome video. your singing helps define the atmosphere of that night. i was there too! it was an amazing show and Sean was so taken aback from the crowds enthusiasm. you could tell he really was surprised that everyone there knew every word to every song, including myself. saw him again opening for Rufus Wainwright in Portland, OR and the crowd had no idea who he was.
aww... thats sad that they didn't know who he was... but thats not a bad night... sean lennon followed by rufus wainwright... thats solid...
and i was at his show in december and this one was much better... because of everyone knowing and singing the lyrics, to all the unplanned things... (guitar problems, sean's story of the mystical guitar, broken wine glass...)... it was just a great night....
Did you wait after the show? I went to the same show, and thought he was so nice on stage, and then when he came out after everyone had been waiting for over an hour he was so whiny. It really made me sad. :(
i did wait after the show... i was part of the group that included the gurl who said our car had been towed... i did feel like he was kinda being stupid... but the man probably just didnt wana deal with autos... and he had a point that once he signs one, he has to sign all.. and take pics and so on... so im neutral overall on the subject... lol
I waited there too :( But I understand. When you're on the road you really gotta take care of yourself too. I remember being at the back of the line when his gaurd guy was like "Okay, line up" and the back of the line turned to the front of the line or something. Err... that makes no sense, I know. But, oh well- his performance was awesome.
elwaybeliever: I am sure somedays a performer is exhausted. Bottom line, a musician, or any performer is not going to please everyone all the time. Regarding autographs: just in case you did not know this... one of the last things his Dad did was sign an autograph for the guy that killed him a couple hours later.
haha, did the same thing in my videos from the 4/6 show (which i haven't posted yet)... good video though! i have one up here you may be interested in...
