This vid, like the Stranded! vids, was to good to rate. The score jumped up by like ten during the third minute alone, and then I just sort of gave up and watched and laughed.

The only racing game I've ever REALLY played (as opposed to in passing with my little cousin) is Jak X: Combat Racing, and I only played that because I loved the Jak and Daxter series. It's fun, and to me, the whole "having a plot" thing is an added bonus. Kurt would probably hate that game... :(

Wow, the physics in GRID must be -awful-. I tend to stick to simulations because there's no way a car, especially not a FWD one, would wobble around that much. With keyboard/mouse it's one thing, but you have a racing wheel. Either you're the worst driver ever (which I doubt) or the physics suck. Wibbly-wobbly slippery-...wippery.

@EnDSchultz1 This game is actually VERY realistic. Braking reduces steering, Faster you go more responsive the steering gets, Drifting you need to countersteer, You can total your car, etc.

I find this game unplayable, i tried Shift 2 the other day too and it was better... but still unplayable, and this goes both for a controller and a steering wheel, the physics are just awful, they makes no sense at all to anyone who has played any real sim racer.

But if we're talking Codemasters, Dirt 2 and 3, now there's a lot of fun to be had, especially with a steering wheel, i'm not saying they're sim games, but it's way, WAY more fun than this mess.

Ahhh, I remember playing the GRID demo with friends. It was pretty much my introduction to "less arcadey" racing games.

I would like to REALLY try a racing game in the future. I think it would be fun, and it is a genre I have pretty much not touched.

Have you ever Quaked before, Kurt? Takes a lot of skill, strategy, and practice to survive in a Quake match. Curious if you have ever tried. Your messing with settings reminded me of it. It's not just deathmatch! A duel is much like chess.
