Linz the best way I found to train the dogs I've had in the past not to pee or poop in the house is to tell them off (be firm) and rub thier nose in it ( literaly put thier nose in thier doings) be consistant about it too, this should work my only concern is that ace might be little to old by now.

At first I potty trained my puppy by putting a few newspaper pages in a corner and, whenever he wanted to pee he went to that spot and peed on them - only on them. Later on he learned, that he should only pee when he is outside...but at first I had to walk him about 5 times a day...now 3 time a day is enough...and he doesn't need newspaper anymore!
