  • Nice vid, I'm libyan, I boarded this one from Tobruk to Tripoli with my Mercedes E200, the bad thing is they must offload the fuel, In the plane You can go anywhere or stay in your car, experience like no other.

  • Incredible...

  • from my opiniion..this is a bad landing :-(

  • @leksepetra Oh awful landing. At one point, 0:39, the right main gear row is off the ground while the rest of the wheels are down!

  • RUSSIAN!!!

  • Interesting, no automatic spoilers.....that is, no spoilers for several

seconds after touchdown, like the crew had to manually deploy

    them. Impressive plane.....

  • the plane looks like gadaffi

  • Does someone know where the libyan aircraft are now preserved cause of the civil war?

  • @fIugasche

    >civil war

you mean ofcourse robber nato agression

  • terrible pilot...

  • @balqis23977 That landing wasnt bad at all, and that kind of russian machines are made to stand very hard conditions. If you want to see really bad landing search London city bumpy landing.

  • @Pvjinflight i love that plane..its just the pilot...:(

  • good thing its a cargo plane..... hard landing

  • Why did the pilot extend the air brake that late? I thought he's supposed to do it at the moment of touch down

  • i loved the way it bounced its back just after landing!!!

  • Nice video..

  • spoilers delayed a bit

  • What a great quality off a video, great plane, he and he's brother the antonov 225.

  • theres like 10 -15 of these all in peices , some looking as though the crashed into there parking stands at tripoli airport!!

  • @wesalloa those are il76's

  • Great video, amazing bird, poor bumpy landing...

  • that was a bump landing once it touched down..the rudder was all over the place..i thought only the russians had antonov aircraft..libyans must have had a lot of bombs and uranium in there lol.

  • You can't call it a really smooth landing.

  • @Airplanespot I agree, it looked like it was going to be a smooth landing at about 0:30, but then it lost altitude and hit the ground harder than it should have

  • Great video! As I wasn't in cockpit to know what they were dealing with as to weight or wind, it looked like a good landing. The undercarriage is designed to handle a heavy landing as well as rough landing strips.

  • late with the spoilers

  • bad landing

  • i agree a bit hard landing . but cool.........

  • A bit hard?

  • This Libyan aircraft for the shipment of a curfew until maximum Africa and the Libyans, forwarding, skilled in leading large aircraft

  • The CG must be rather far forward on those aircraft

  • You can hear the tires screech, lol.

  • damn... russian engines are noisy indeed.. xD

anyway, that was a hard landing... great video!!

  • wooooow........mighty 124

  • Great !

  • Nice

  • awesome resolution on this video now that's HD

it's a pleasure watching videos this nice

  • where in manchester airport is this filmed???

  • That was quite hard!

    Thanks for sharing

  • Amazing work Simon!

  • Very nice video Simon :), the quality on your video's are just amazing!

  • HAHHAHAH LANDING!!! EXCELLLENT HD QuALITY AS PER USUAL!!!

  • rough landing there. nice vid! 5*

  • That is really nice filming well done =))

  • nice landing!

  • ultimate crap landing.

I wondered to see the bird is still in one piece.

  • No shit captain obvious. Nice armchair pilot. Do you know how hard it is to put down a 250 ton aircraft?

  • i saw many An 124 and An 224 and all landed smoothly, surly the wing span and control surfaces are capable for gradual accent on final.

no mate its down to pilot insufficiency.

  • positive landing, this kind of landing is used to minimize landing run, if the runway is wet , short or tail wind landing,

  • Beutiful big bird! But not a soft landing, I have to say. :-)

  • Saw it land 2day

  • Cripes!...that's some beast!...love it Simon.

  • brill loved to have seen it land

  • Excellent great job!!!

  • Simon, been way too long... but as usual, you do not disappoint. Well worth the wait my friend. Thank You.

[Footnote]: Stellar, or at least 'rather creative' focal perspective.

  • What a Beast, 2nd to none capture 5/5

  • Great shot! Did you capture the departure? And will you be going to film this again?

  • I was all set to record the take-off when my camera refused to work. I think the damp weather had something to do with it, anyway I'll be back to film it again.

  • Ah ok, do you know if there have been any confirmed dates yet of when it will return?

  • The dates I have are Friday 15th and Wednesday 20th. These are not confirmed though.

  • It has been in again this morning, thursday 28th May.

  • Did u go to film it?

  • No. I only hear about after it went.

  • nice one again mate! :D

  • Excellent! Thanks for grabbing this shot!

  • Amazing video as always Simon. I was going to be there, but the weather didn't seem too good - must just have been Didsbury lol! When is it due back this month? The dates would really be appreiciated. Thanks.

  • Luckily this monster will be back twice this month, the dates haven't been confirmed yet though.

  • OK thanks!

  • Can you or anyone help if I want to catch the A380 coming to Auckland New Zealand is there a website with those specifics so I can be there on time, I could trawl through the arrivals on the airport website but maybe there is an easier way?

  • I check the airport's arrival site, Emirates is the only one flying A380's into Auckland . May 9 shows three arrivals.12:30,12:50,and 13:15. It don't state whichone will be the A380. I assume the one coming tru Sydney.

  • nice vid, 5*****, how did u get to this vantage point, I went looking for it several times but i just can't find it.

  • Awesome!! Good quality 5/5

  • what a monster!!!

  • awesome video ! what a beast !

  • Great video

  • wow.....amazing plane! quality was great too!

  • Great Video Simon! I remember being stood with you for this when it arrived. (tall blonde guy in a green coat) :)

  • Hi mate, yes I remember you and your friends! I think you where filming on a mobile phone?

  • yehh i was :) Still need to upload the landing video (pretty bad quality though seeing as its a 3.2 megapixel camera)

  • Brilliant video Simon! Rock steady!

  • Thanks mate! Libyan Cargo are due to make two more flights this month into MAN.
