you are right SubtleDemise .the first 3 have great action and story the last two completely shift into other direction and only have flash back of genocyber the only good thing that we see is the new genocyber which appear only for 2 minutes thats it. the last two suck just watch the first 3 they are the only good ones
It's ridiculous how low ratings this anime gets, just because there's kids getting shot (and that actually ads charm to this show). Why people (especially reviewers) watch violent shows if they can't handle the gore? Genocyber is above average, absolutely
@ArrowX True but it's the art direction that sets it apart from everything else. Even the cut corners in the animation actually add to the effect and atmosphere, at least in the first episode.
The last two episodes have some of the worst dubbing I've ever seen. I couldn't watch the whole thing.
What I don't get is what exactly happened. Genocyber seemed to freeze itself, but in the last shot it's turned into a bunch of wires? And why did it look so different and dragon-like in the middle, then go back to normal?

Good footage from 4-5? lol I'm surprised you found 2 minutes worth. 1 is the best and 2 and 3 are a close second to it. 4 and 5 are just terrible.

Genocyber, MD Geist, and Urotsukidoji...
My favorite 80s & 90s anime movies and shows. The animation is just AWESOME.
And for you Tom Clancy Fans - Patlabor 2: THE MOVIE.

@Assiman It isn't great, but I do get a kick out of the opressive, absolute nihilism of the show.

@Assiman i love gore but as a critic i just think its mediocre

genocyber returns to its dormant/normal state at the end because the twins understand they weren't meant to live among people.
the series is about as deep as MD Geist, and was pretty much just gore houding it up like allot of the stuff that came out in the 90's

Behonkiss, I'm 99% sure the DVD of Genocyber is dual-audio. Just watch it subbed if it matters that much to you.
