i did dull down those sound effects a bit.. problem is... adobe premier refuses to use my speakers.. because they are usb and the soundcard is broken and thewhole sound setup is pretty dodgy.
so i was resorting to all sorts of tactics to play with the sound levels.
i think though.. the wind and the music are meant to be especially quiet anyway. so i would just say you had your volume too loud :P
The shadows do make a positive difference.
If anything though I would dull down the footstep sounds. They are just a bit too obvious.
