the Singapore Armed Forces' equipment's are excellent. however, most of their personnel have no combat experience. they need TONS AND TONS of combat experience to be able to compete with a nation whose armed forces' personnel eats war for breakfast. e.g. Indonesia or the Philippines. these 2 countries are fighting terrorist within their territory. although, Philippines is badly equipped, they'll be a deadly force to be reckoned with because of their experience in combat and bravery.

Singapore army is not an offensive army but more of a defensive army in our region. Whatever equipments we have, have to be 10-15 years ahead our neighbouring countries in terms of technology.

Well since it ended 22 years ago I doubt the current generation of malaysian forces are that experienced. the Singapore Armed Forces' equipment's are excellent. however, most of their personnel have no combat experience. they need TONS AND TONS of combat experience to be able to compete with a nation whose armed forces' personnel eats war for breakfast. e.g. Indonesia or the Philippines. these 2 countries are fighting terrorist within their territory. although, Philippines is badly equipped, they'll be a deadly force to be reckoned with because of their experience in combat and bravery.

@pelicaravansary Singapore is really small and that is a fact, but with the technology and doctrine we are able to defence ourselves. Singapore army is not an offensive army but more of a defensive army in our region. Whatever equipments we have, have to be 10-15 years ahead our neighbouring countries in terms of technology.
By the way, our airforce main fighter jets are F-15 and F-16 and it has been proven by the Americans F-15 is the best air to air take down aircraft ever and it has never
